Abstract

PURPOSE:To identify a copying output paper even when reception output paper is mixed in the paper by controlling the paper discharge output tray section of a facsimile with the copying and reception so as to attain the reception during the copying operation. CONSTITUTION:The paper discharge output tray 101 is placed at a position 105 normally. The state is a state that power is applied to the titled equipment and no copying is executed and a communication picture is received instantly. A solenoid 103 is excited at the copying and the entire tray is moved to a position 104. As soon as the copy is executed, the tray is restored to the standby position of the said position 105. Further, when a control section 301 turns on a shift signal, extinguishes the copy intermission display and continues the copying. When the copying is finished, the shift signal is turned off to bring the state to the standby state. In this case, sensors 201, 202 are shut by the edge of the received paper.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION (Field) The present invention relates to a facsimile machine, and more particularly to a facsimile machine that uses cut sheets of plain paper, such as an electrophotographic method, in its printer section.

(Prior Art) Conventionally, this type of apparatus uses continuous paper such as thermal paper, and the paper output for each communication or copying is removed from the apparatus by automatic cutting or cutting by an operator. Furthermore, in the transmitting/receiving machine, the paper outputted as described above is outputted to one paper receiver. Therefore, both output paper output through communication and output paper output using a facsimile machine as a copying machine are placed on the same output tray. In the above-mentioned conventional apparatus configuration, there is a possibility that the copy output paper and the correspondence not originally related to the copying operator are taken away together with it, creating a risk that important correspondence will be lost.

Furthermore, as high-speed machines are becoming more widespread, documents, drawings, etc. communicated by facsimile will exceed the current scope.
Halftone communication of manuscripts including halftone photographs is becoming commonplace. A facsimile machine that is suitable for commercial use and high-definition communication can also function as a normal copying machine due to its performance. At present, the printer output section of facsimile machines compatible with such communication systems can handle plain paper and cut sheets using electrophotography. For example, a laser beam printer (LBP) is most suitable, and facsimile machines configured in this manner are being proposed. Such a facsimile machine is no longer just a document communication device, but is increasingly being used as a copying device.

(Purpose) The present invention is to control sheet ejection in order to eliminate the drawbacks of the conventional facsimile machine described above, and to enhance the function of the facsimile machine and copying machine by controlling reception and reception during copying operation. This makes it possible to attach the received output paper and to make it easy to identify even if the received output paper is mixed with the copy output paper.

Next, the operation of the above configuration will be explained according to the flowchart shown in FIG. The discharge output tray 101 is normally located at a position shown at 105 . This state refers to a state in which the device is powered on, is not in a copying operation (hereinafter referred to as copy state), and can immediately receive a communication image. Next, during the copying operation, the solenoid 103 is energized and the entire tray moves to the position shown at 104. At the same time as the copying operation ends, the tray returns to the standby position 105. Next, with reference to FIG. 5, the operation of the paper discharge tray will be explained regarding reception during copying.

As shown in FIG. 4, when a call is received from the calling side, it is checked in step 1 whether copying is currently in progress. Of course, if the answer is No, continue to step 5. Next, in step 2, it is checked whether there is any paper currently being output. If output is in progress, the tray switching operation will not be performed until the paper is ejected (step 3). Next, when the paper ejection output is completed, a copy interruption display is displayed on a display section (not shown), and a receiving display is displayed, and the shift signal shown in FIG. 3 is turned off, and the paper ejection tray 101 is moved to the position 104 (step 4, 5.6). When all the received pages are completed and the paper ejecting operation in step 7) is completed, the control section 301 turns on the shift signal, turns off the copy interruption display, and continues copying (step 8.9). Furthermore, when the copying is completed, the shift signal is turned off and the apparatus enters a standby state. At this time, the sensors 201 and 202 are blocked by the edge of the paper received in step 7.

Therefore, at this point, the control unit 301 displays on the display unit (not shown) that the received output paper and the copy output paper are mixedly loaded on the tray (steps 10 to 30).
