チユエータを備えて同速モードと増速モードに切
換可能な変速機を採用するとともに、動作許容状
態にある制御装置によつて作動を制御されて前記
ステアリングホイールの操作力に応じて当該操舵
力伝達系に助勢力を付与するアシストアクチユエ
ータを設け、また前記切換アクチユエータを作動
状態又は非作動状態として前記変速機を増速モー
ド又は同速モードに切換えるとともに前記制御装
置を動作許容状態又は動作禁止状態に切換える切
換手段を設けたことを特徴とする車両用ステアリ
