Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively remove paper dust generating during paper feed, by allowing a decharger brush and a paper dust retrieving member to make contact with a resist roller. CONSTITUTION:A decharger brush 11 is composed of a fur of stainless wires or carbon fibers, and makes into contact with a resist roller 10. Since this resist roller 10 is liable to be frictionally charged, and therefore, generated paper dust is stuck to and is therefore conveyed by the resist roller 10, but is scooped up by the decharger brush 11. When the amount of paper dust scooped up by the decharger brush exceeds a predetermined value, paper dust may pass through the decharger brush 11. Since a dust retrieving member 12 having a corrugated inside makes into contact with the resist roller downstream of the decharger brush 12, paper dust may be retrieved by the member 12. The volume of paper dust accumulated by the member 12 may be cleared up by removing the member 12.
