に付設され、前記ドアが開かれたときに前記シー
ル部材が熱損傷を受けることを防止するためのシ
ール部材保護装置であつて、前記開口部の形状に
対応する形状に形成され、その開口部の内側に配
設されてその開口部が設けられている壁面に直交
する方向に移動自在とされている筒状の防熱カバ
ーと、その防熱カバーを移動させる駆動機構とを
備えてなることを特徴とする連続式熱処理炉にお
