PURPOSE:To exhaust a muddy water entered from an air inlet hole, by a method wherein the portion near the bottom end of a fan guide is formed into a shape swelling to the fan side and the swelling portion is partly opposed to the outer circumference of the fan. CONSTITUTION:A part of a fan guide 6 is swollen to the fan side and becomes a swollen part 6b, and the swollen part 6b is slantly opposed to an outer circumference 2a-1 of the fan. The bottom end of the swollen part 6b is faced to an exhaust port 5b. Blowing by the fan 2a flows along the convex surface of the swollen part 6b as shown by an arrow C and then spouted from the exhaust port 5b. Consequently, counterflow towards a diode 4 is not liable to occur. On the other hand, a muddy water or the like flows down through a gap formed by the concave surface of the swollen part 6b as shown in an arrow D and them exhausted.

た車両用交流発電機に適用され、前記ファンガイドの下
端部付近をファン側に膨出する形状に成形し、該膨出部
の1部をファンの外周に対向せしめると共K、該膨出部
の外周縁を冷却通風用排気口に臨ましめたることを特徴
とする。
