Various types of sealing materials have been used to seal gaps between structural members such as concrete walls and metal parts, but these conventional sealants are difficult to fit into the gaps. Furthermore, it has the disadvantage that stable sealing action cannot be obtained under conditions where the required internal or external pressure is applied, and furthermore, the sealing action cannot be ensured under conditions where vibration or other effects are applied. However, a truly preferable sealing material for dustproofing, sandproofing, waterproofing, soundproofing, etc. has not yet been obtained.

The present invention was devised after repeated studies in view of the above-mentioned circumstances, and as shown in FIG. The middle part of the elastic packing member 1 is bent so as to protrude to one side, and bent recesses 12 are formed on both sides of the bent protrusion 14 to form an M-shaped or W-shaped cross section. Both ends of the joint surface described above are formed into acute-angled lip portions 13, and a curve 15 is formed between the lip portions 13 to form the joint surface 11 into a Y-shape or V-shape. From the opposing recessed part 21 formed in the above-mentioned one end side lip part 1
3 is a series of curved surfaces 22.

That is, the state in which the device according to the present invention is installed between the structural members 5 and 6 as described above is as shown separately in FIG. The bent protrusion 14 is set toward its high pressure side, and in this case, the width of the sealing material having a width as shown in FIG. 1 is slightly narrowed and inserted. A locking portion 16 is appropriately provided on the low-pressure side of each body 5, 6 to hold the sealing material in a predetermined position. It is extremely easy to install because it can be freely deformed like an accordion with a small amount of force and folded in the width direction.
When set as shown in the figure, due to the restoring force after charging, the curved surfaces 15 on each joint surface 11, 11 become flat and are pressed against the side surfaces of parts 5, 6, so that they are pressed into a flat shape. As shown in the figure, in particular, the respective lip portions 13 at both ends of each joint surface 11 form a strong joint state that appears to be firmly pressed down, and a sealing action is obtained with favorable frictional resistance.
Further, when the pressure in the direction of the arrow P as described above is applied, the pressure acting on the bending protrusion 14 and each bending recess 12 is distributed to the respective lips 13, 13 on both sides due to the arch effect. This increases the pressure contact force against the portion 13, and in particular, since a series of curved surfaces 22 are formed from the recessed portion 21 to the lip portion 13 on the one end side, the sealing material does not invert and produces the above-mentioned arch effect. Combined with this, a sealing force approximately 10 times greater than the frictional bonding force of the elastic sealing material itself is obtained, and a sealing state that is freely deformed in proportion to the pressure is formed, making it easy to install as described above. An extremely stable sealing relationship can be formed even if the Furthermore, as described above, the sealing material of the present invention, which is made of rubber or other single elastic material and has excellent deformability, ensures a stable sealing relationship even under operating conditions such as vibration and impact. Of course, even if an adhesive or the like is used on the joint surface 11, these characteristics will not be impaired in any way, but will be further enhanced.

It is clear that the device of the present invention as described above can be used as it is or by bending or curving the intermediate portion or end portion as appropriate. The molded version is adopted. That is, some of the specific usage conditions of the device according to the present invention are as shown in FIG. 3 and below. In the device shown in FIG. The one shown in Fig. 4 is interposed between the side gutter portions 18 and other installations on both sides of the road 7, and the one formed in a straight line is used as shown in Fig. 3. Same as the case. In the case of usage as shown in FIG. 3 or 4, when it is preferable to lock the sealing material to either one or both of the parts, the locking part 17 as shown in FIG. can be formed on the side of the sealing material 1.

Furthermore, for these items, FIGS. 6 and 7 show examples of the sealing material of the present invention formed in a ring shape. In the example shown in FIG. The sealing material of the present invention as described above is interposed in a ring shape in the gap between the members 19 and 20.
A similarly annular sealing material of the present invention is interposed between the two parts 19 and 20, and concrete, foamed tissue material, or the like is filled 4 between the two parts 19 and 20 to form a double pipe structure. In the cases shown in Figs. 6 and 7, it is natural that a ring-shaped piece is used, but it is also possible to cut the band-shaped piece to a predetermined length, bend it into a ring shape, and then Of course, it is also possible to join them, and it is clear that the present invention, which can be expanded and contracted in the cross-sectional width direction, can be easily attached to any of them. Even in a case where the fixed tube member 9 and the attachment hole 10a of the partition wall 10 are eccentric to some extent, a substantially preferable sealing state can be formed.

According to the present invention as described above, the packing member is made of a single material such as rubber, and the bent recessed part 12 and the opposing recessed part 21 are formed, so that it can be easily attached between structures. It can be expanded and contracted appropriately in the width direction and can be easily attached and detached.
Furthermore, although it can be freely deformed into a device, in its set state it always provides a strong and favorable sealing action at the lip portions 13, 13, and in particular it evenly distributes the pressure condition and ensures that each lip portion is not pressed against the pressure. A device that can effectively exhibit a precise sealing effect such as that of a seal in a product that is easy to handle as described above, and that can effectively achieve vibration-proofing, soundproofing, waterproofing, sand-proofing, dust-proofing purposes, etc. Therefore, it is an invention with great industrial effects.
