源部を設け、この光源部からの照明光をリレーレ
ンズにより平行光に補正して前記液晶表示パネル
に入射させるとともに、前記液晶表示パネルの表
示像を、この液晶表示パネルの前方に設けた投影
レンズによりスクリーン面に拡大投影する液晶プ
ロジエクタにおいて、前記光源部から液晶表示パ
ネルに向けて先端が少なくとも前記リレーレンズ
の配置位置に達する長さの筒状導光パイプを設け
、この導光パイプ内に前記リレーレンズを設けて
、前記光源部からの照明光を前記導光パイプ内を
通して前記リレーレンズに導くようにしたことを
