The applicant for this patent is Japanese Patent Application No. 55-81312
52151) proposed a conveyance device that primarily conveys metal chips. In the case of metal chips, cutting oil is used during cutting, so the cutting oil is attached to the chips, and this attached cutting oil acts as a lubricant, so the link chain can be moved smoothly in the trough. It can be moved and transported. However, if the conveyed material is other than the metal chips mentioned above, it is difficult to expect the presence of a liquid that acts as a lubricant, and if it is not present, the inner surface of the trough may be worn out due to movement of the link chain. However, there are problems in that the movement of the link chain is stopped due to clogging of conveyed materials, which may cause the motor to burn out, or even if it does not burn out, it is necessary to use a motor with a very high horsepower.

Each unit 1 includes a transport tube 3 supported by struts 2 with a gentle downward slope from the center to each end. The upward facing space is used to receive food scraps discharged from the garbage outlet of dining cars, etc., or to receive garbage collected in passenger cars that is emptied into the connection space where the coupler between the passenger cars connects. Has hopper 4.

The location where the transport cylinder 3 is installed is not limited to the platform, but may also be installed on the base lead-in line.
When installed on a platform P, an emergency evacuation space P' provided under the platform and recessed along the track as shown in the figure can be used. The conveying cylinder 3 is made of a cylindrical pipe, and it is most convenient to use commercially available carbon steel pipes for piping (commonly known as gas pipes) connected to the required length by welding or flange joining.

A driven device 5 that also serves as a tension device is provided at the upstream end of the conveyance cylinder 3, and a driving device 6 is provided in front of the downstream end. A plurality of link chains 7 are stretched, and the upper band of each chain advances from the driven roller 5a toward the drive roller 6a over the bottom of the conveyance cylinder 3 by the rotation of the drive roller 6a, and during that time, the upper band of each chain advances from the hopper 4 to the conveyance cylinder 3. The remaining waste thrown into the tube 3 is dragged to the downstream end and discharged from the downstream end, and the lower band wraps around the driving roller 6a and returns along the outer lower surface of the conveying cylinder, and is moved to the driven roller. It returns to the roller 5a and circulates.

The diameter of the transport cylinder and the size of the links in the link chain are determined as appropriate depending on the amount of waste to be transported, but the inner diameter of the transport cylinder is approximately 250 to 300 mm, and the short axis of the links is 15 to 25 mm.

In order to transmit the rotational force of the driving roller 6a to the link chain without slipping, the chains are arranged at least on the outer peripheral surface of the driving roller 6a so that the inner peripheral part of the vertical link 7a and the horizontal link 7b are arranged at intervals. An engaging groove 8 is provided that engages with the sixth
figure). Although the driven roller 5a and the guide roller 9 for guiding the other chains do not necessarily require such an engagement groove, a groove 10 through which the chain passes is provided on the outer periphery in order to maintain the arrangement spacing of the chains. This is preferable (Fig. 7).

The movement of the conveyed object according to this invention mainly utilizes the unevenness caused by the links being connected alternately vertically and horizontally, and the ring of the links, as described above, but if necessary, the unevenness difference can be used. In order to increase the conveying force by giving more force, welding or other means is applied to the outer periphery of the vertical link 7, that is, the part that becomes the upper surface when moving at the bottom of the conveying cylinder, as shown in Figures 8 and 9. The protrusions 11 may be raised to prevent slipping, or the blades 12 may be fixed in series by welding or the like. In particular, this blade 12 also has the effect of keeping the intervals between the plurality of chains constant.

Also, take into account that there may be some debris that gets caught in the link ring of the link chain and does not fall even when the link chain comes out from the downstream end of the conveyor tube and rotates around the drive roller, so remove the debris. It is preferable to provide the removing device 13 at the beginning of the return area. As explained in detail in the previous application, this scraping device consists of two rollers 13 that are attached to a link chain.
a, 13a, and an eccentric piece 13b that rotates in sliding contact with the chain between both rollers, and the motor that drives the eccentric piece 13b can also be used as a motor for driving the drive roller.

In the present invention, a water inlet 1 is provided at the upstream end of the conveying tube.
4 is provided to inject water into the conveying cylinder from the water inlet 14 as necessary when circulating the link chain.

Therefore, as described above, the present invention provides a link chain 7 that moves from the upstream end to the downstream end within the conveying cylinder 3.
Through the circulation movement of the hopper 4, the miscellaneous waste thrown in is conveyed and discharged from the downstream end.
Since water can be injected from inside the gutter, the water flowing down toward the downstream end acts as a lubricant and at the same time assists in the movement of debris. Therefore, items such as newspapers, magazines, empty cans, and empty bottles in the garbage can be moved smoothly by the link chain and water flow, and at the same time, wear and tear on the inner surface of the conveyor tube, especially at the bottom, is greatly prevented. .

The circulation speed of the link chain is appropriately determined depending on the material to be conveyed, but it may be approximately 5 to 15 meters per minute for the garbage generated in the train of the illustrated embodiment.

The present invention has been described above using as an example a conveying device for miscellaneous garbage generated on a train, but as mentioned above, the present invention is applicable to conveying various objects such as metal chips that are not contaminated with cutting oil or the like. It is especially suitable for use as a transport tube, and can use commercially available products such as gas pipes. Also, it has the simplest structure among chains, and is the most robust. It also uses a commercially available link chain, so it can be installed at low cost. Since it is almost sealed, it also has odor and fire prevention effects. Furthermore, even if the transfer tube is curved to some extent along the track, the link chain can move without any problem and carry out the transfer. In this embodiment, the driving roller is provided at the downstream end and the driven roller is provided at the upstream end, but conversely, the driven roller may be provided at the downstream end and the driving roller at the upstream end. The pieces can be driven by separate motors.
