Abstract

PURPOSE:To aim at compact construction of a lamp as a whole including its base, by joining two U-shaped glass tubes and fixing thereto, a base which has a socket engaging section projected along the diagonal line on a brim. CONSTITUTION:A lamp body 1 is made by joining two U-shaped glass tubes to make their surfaces opposing each other, while connecting the inner spaces of base sections 11, 12 on one side to each other through a connecting area 15 but hermetically sealing their inside from the outside. A socket engaging section 22 is provided along a diagonal line on a brim 21 with engaging projections 23 at both ends in the longitudinal direction and four base pins 24 are projectingly on the bottom. A base 20 is fixed with adhesive on an end plate 3 which makes the bottom of an luminous unit 1. By this construction, the base as well as the lamp body can be made in compact sizes while preventing the breakage of the lamp body and it is made possible to mount the lamp on a U-shaped fluorescent lamp socket.

なわち、第6図は特開昭54−164373号公報に示
されたU字型蛍光ランプの斜視図であり、U字状に折曲
したガラス管をランプ主体(1)とし、このランプ主体
(1)の両端部を1gの共通の口金(20)に固着して
いる。この口金(20)は小判型を呈しており、発光部
(1)と反対側になる下面に口金ピン(24)を突設し
、長手側両端に係合突起(23)を設けている。そして
、この口金(20)を装着するランプソケット(30)
は、その分解斜視図である第7図に示すように、上記口
金(20)の外形状に対応した口金収容四部(31)を
設けるとと6に、この口金収容凹部(31)の底部に口
金ピン接続部(32)を設け、さらに−口金収容凹部(
31)の長手側両端部に上記口金(20)の係合突起(
23)を係止するための係止部(32)を設けている。

し易いといった問題点が推察されろ。

ンプとの互換性が生じ、しかも、発光部の破壊も防止で
き、その実用的価値は甚大である。
