ため下側のトラクタ2以前に用紙1が余つている
状態で用紙送りは停止する。用紙長さは6インチ
から14インチまで使用されるため、用紙停止時の
終端位置は、10インチ程用紙1の種類により移動
する。スプライステーブル6は固定のため場合に
よつてはスプライス時に10インチ程の用紙1のた
るみが発生する。このため用紙1のスプライス作
業が困難であるという問題がある。特に135Kg紙
等の厚手用紙では顕著である。

イステーブル7は、図の左側方向へ破線で示すよ
うに任意に移動できる(ただし最大移動量は約10
インチである)。このため、用紙長による用紙終
端位置にスプライステーブル7を移動し、スプラ
イス位置を合わせることで用紙1のたるみがなく
なる。これによりスプライスの作業性が向上す
る。印刷時及び用紙かけ換え時はスプライステー
ブル7は図の実線の位置すなわち最も右側にして
おき、用紙送行、用紙かけかえ操作のさまたげに
ならない。
