Conventionally, for the above-mentioned purpose, sound generators that produce the sound of monotonous raindrops or waves, or oscillators that apply a weak pulse current to the head, etc., have been proposed, but these are impractical and expensive. Also, since it merely uses psychological aspects, its effectiveness is questionable, and therefore it is not highly evaluated.

The present invention eliminates the drawbacks of the conventional method.
The object of the present invention is to provide a sleep inducer that is inexpensive, simple, highly effective, and highly practical.

First, to briefly explain the principle of the present invention, when a human transitions from an awake state to a light sleep state, a slow pendulum-like movement, that is, a linear reciprocating eye movement (Slow Eye Movement; SEM) occurs. This movement is said to be caused by an imbalance in the nerves that move the eyeballs, and is also used to detect sleep.

This invention focuses on the above-mentioned SEM, and conversely
It attempts to induce normal sleep by forcing the eyeballs to perform SME or similar movements.

For this reason, in the present invention, a light that repeatedly moves from one side of the eyeball to the other appears in the darkness, so that the person can see the movement of the light without seeing it while sleeping. In this case, the human eye automatically follows the light for a while, but then the light stops and we can see it. This is exactly the eyeball
Since you have done SEM or similar exercise, you will fall into a normal and natural sleep. Of course, it is also possible to interpret this as fatigue caused by unconscious follow-up eye movements.

FIG. 1 is a basic block diagram of an embodiment of the sleep inducer according to the present invention, in which 1 shows the entire sleep inducer, 2 a pulse oscillator, 3 a decimal counter, and 4 a plurality of sleep inducers. , for example, is a light emitting section in which five light emitting elements 5 are arranged horizontally in a straight line. Note that the pulse oscillator 2 may be provided with an appropriate adjustment means that can externally vary its oscillation period to obtain an optimum oscillation period for each user.

Regarding the operation of this sleep inducer, pulses from the oscillator 2 are counted by a counter 3, and the light emitting elements 5 are sequentially turned on based on the output of this counter. Note that the lighting order of the light emitting elements 5 may be a reciprocating linear movement or a pendulum movement in which a plurality of light emitting elements 5 are repeatedly turned on from right to left and then turned on from left to right. It is also possible to simply repeat one-way movement from right to left or left to right.

FIG. 2 shows a vertical cross-sectional view of the sleep inducer shown in FIG. 1 worn by a human. For example, a light emitting part 4 is attached to one end of a cylinder 6 having a rectangular cross section and whose inner wall surface is painted black. The light spot can be seen through a lens 7 provided at the other end if necessary. Further, since the upper and lower inner walls 8 and 9 of the cylinder body 6 are provided with mirrors over the entirety, the light emitted from the light emitting element 5 in the light emitting section 4 is reflected by the inner wall 8, as shown in FIG. 3a. . These light spots are bent toward the eyeball 12 by an oblique mirror 11 provided near the exit 10 and reach the eyeball 12 through the lens 7. Although the light spot of the light emitting element 5 does not need to be clearly seen, its virtual image can also be shifted into the distance by using a lens. The reason why a plurality of light spots are formed in a line by multiple reflections by the mirrors 8 and 9 is so that the light can be easily seen from any direction regardless of the position of the eyeball 12. . Note that 14 is a holding part made of a material with high friction such as leather or rubber and which can be attached to the head,
As shown in Fig. 4, the sleep inducer 1 is shaped like a band.
The main body portion of the device may be fixedly held on the forehead.

Describing how to use the sleep inducer mentioned above,
First, hold the cylindrical body 6 so that the exit 10 is above the left or right eyeball, that is, within the field of vision, and place the light emitting element 5
Allows you to see the light point in the dark. Next, when you turn on the power, counter 3 will operate, so
The light spot swings left and right like a pendulum at a constant period. While looking at the light spot that swings left and right like this, the eyeballs move in a manner similar to that seen in an SEM, and eventually fall into a deep sleep.

In this case, the light emitting section 4 and the circuit section including the power source may be provided externally and connected to each other by a lead wire, or the circuit section may be integrated into the cylindrical body 6.

Also, it is better to stop the device from operating after sleeping, so it is best to use a timer or the like to automatically turn off the power after a predetermined period of time. At this time, it is also effective to gradually lower the brightness of the light spot to make it darker over time. Furthermore, if necessary, a monotone sound may be generated in synchronization with the pendulum movement of the light spot.

In the above-described embodiment, the moving light is in the form of a point, but it may be in the form of a bright line, and the bright line may reciprocate linearly in a direction substantially perpendicular to its longitudinal direction.

Furthermore, although the light is configured to move in a linear reciprocating manner or in a pendulum-like manner, it may also move in a waveform such as an AC waveform, in an arc shape, in a figure-eight shape, or in other states.

Since the present invention has the above-described structure, it is possible to induce sleep without causing any feeling of psychological or physical fatigue. In addition, since it actively induces SEM and utilizes it, it can strongly induce sleep in a safe and natural state.
