入された文字の位置座標を認識処理用の電気信号
に変換する入力データ処理部と、標準パターンメ
モリと、この標準パターンメモリのデータと前記
入力データ処理部からの入力パターンデータとに
ついてパターンマツチングを行い、最も類似した
標準パターンデータをもつ文字を認識する文字認
識部と、この認識結果を外部接続装置に出力する
出力インタフエース部とからなるオンライン手書
文字認識装置において、前記タブレツトの複数の
記入枠を２分割した第１の記入枠および第２の記
入枠と、前記入力データ処理部に接続され、この
入力データ処理部からの記入枠確定の情報をうけ
て記入枠判別信号を出力する記入枠判別部と、前
記文字認識部と前記出力インタフエース部の間に
接続され、前記記入枠判別信号によつて、前記第
１の記入枠に手書きされる文字の認識結果につい
ては第１の所定のフオーマツトに構成された電気
信号のデータとし、前記第２の記入枠に手書きさ
れる文字の認識結果については第２の所定のフオ
ーマツトに構成された電気信号のデータとして出
力する送出フオーマツト作成部とを設けたことを
