Abstract

PURPOSE:An adhesive tape suitable for medical uses, having improved hand cutting properties, obtained by applying a specific amount of a specified high polymer substance layer to one side of woven fabric which consists of warp having specific thickness and has specified tensile strength and forming a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on the other. CONSTITUTION:Woven fabric having 3-15kg/12mm, preferably 5-12kg/12mm is obtained by weaving warp having <=200 denier, preferably 50-100 denier in 80-120 filaments/inch and weft having preferably 75-180 denier in 50-90 filaments/inch. One side of the woven fabric is provided with a high polymer substance layer having >=25 deg., preferably 35-90 deg. Shore hardness in film formation and 15-70g/m<2>, preferably 30-60g/m<2> pickup and the other is equipped with a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer having 5-300mum to give the aimed adhesive tape.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] Field of Application in the Cutting Industry> The present invention can be easily cut by hand without using a cutting tool such as scissors or a tape cutter, and the cut is on a straight line, and the thread is free from fraying. This invention relates to adhesive tapes that are particularly useful for medical applications.

Conventional technology and its problems> Medical adhesive tapes that have a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on one surface of a cloth base material are known, but they are difficult to cut by hand and are difficult to cut by hand. Disadvantages include that the warp threads fray at the ends of the tape, giving it a poor appearance, and that it is unsanitary due to the accumulation of dust and the like.

Additionally, in order to improve the ease of manual cutting, attempts have been made to make cuts such as saw blades at the end of the tape.
The formation of the cuts reduces the physical strength of the tape, and has the disadvantage that dust and the like tend to adhere thereto, and furthermore, it requires a great deal of labor to process the cuts.

<Means for Solving the Problems> The present invention solves the drawbacks of the prior art and provides a new adhesive cheese that is useful for medical use and has particularly good manual tearability. Where to do this, threads with a thickness of 200 denier or less are used as warp threads at 3 to 151V/12
The Shore A hardness at the time of film formation is at least 25 mm.
The main reason for this is that a polymer material layer with a density of 15 to 70 g/rr is provided, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is provided on the other surface.

It is preferably formed by driving 80 to 120 pieces/inch. The thickness and number of weft threads are not particularly limited, but in order to prevent diagonal cuts when cut by hand, the thickness should be 50 to 200 deniers, preferably 75 to 180 deniers, and the number of weft threads should be 40~
120 lines/inch, preferably 50 to 90 lines/inch is desirable.

In order to ensure uniform hand-cutting, the thickness and number of threads are within the above range, the thickness of the thread is thicker for the weft than the warp, and the number of threads for the warp is greater than the weft. This is desirable.

However, when hand tearability is to be imparted in the warp direction as well, the thickness and number of weft threads may be made the same as those of the warp threads.

In the above, if the thickness of the warp exceeds 200 deniers, it is not preferable because the hand-cutting property in the weft direction is poor even if the polymer substance I- described later is provided, and the tensile strength is 3 kg/12 If it is less than tax, the strength of the woven fabric will be insufficient, and if it exceeds 15 kg/12y+m, the hand tearability will be poor, which is not preferable.

If the Shore A hardness of the polymer material is less than 25 degrees, the cut end will become wavy or curled when cut by hand, so it is not preferable.
If it is less than that, the mutual fixing force between the fiber threads that make up the woven fabric is weak,
This is not desirable as it may fray when cut by hand. If it exceeds 0.9/a, the texture of a15 will be inhibited, and it will become too hard, making it less compatible with the skin, which is not preferable.
