Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit to select a heating method suitable for a cooking food and effect the heating of the food by the operation of one key to facilitate the handling of the titled cooker by a method wherein an alcohol sensor and a humidity sensor are provided in an exhaust duct provided in an oven and the difference of the changing values of outputs of both sensors is detected to discriminate the kind of the food stuff. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust duct 11, attached to an oven 1, is provided with an alcohol sensor 12 and a humidity sensor 13 to detect gas generated from a food heated by microwaves generated by the oscillation of a magnetron 2. The signals of both sensors are sent into a main control circuit 7 through a gas sensor control circuit 14 to operate the difference of output values, discriminate the food and output a control signal. When the food to be cooked is decided that it is sake, the main control circuit 7 determines a heating time based on a signal detected by a weight sensor 4 while the food is heated by normal sensor control in case the food is decided that it is a generally used food.
