Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the environmental resistance of a head by pressing a front core comprising the magnetic recording medium sliding face side part of a magnetic circuit in a magnetic head with an elastic member from a sliding face side and contacting with pressure a back core comprising the remaining part of the magnetic circuit so as to joint both cores. CONSTITUTION:The front core 1, the back core 2 and a bobbin 3 are constituted the same as popular ones. However, a difference is that a flat spring 5 for contacting with pressure and fixing the cores 1 and 2 presses the magnetic tape sliding face 1a of the front core 1. Accordingly the shape of the flat spring 5 is not limited by the terminals 8 and 8 of the bobbin 3, thereby improving the degree of freedom is designing. The flat spring 5 is formed in a rectangular frame body, and its upper and lower frame pars 5a and 5c are formed at a lower curvature than that of the magnetic tape sliding face 1a bending cylindrically, while its left and right frame parts 5b and 5d are bent approximately perpendicular with respect to the upper and lower frame parts 5b and 5c.

In FIG. 2, the reference numeral l indicates the above-mentioned front core, which is formed by butting together a pair of half-core cores made of soft magnetic material through a magnetic gap G and bonding them with an adhesive 6 such as glass, and whose cross section is approximately U. It is formed into a letter shape. A surface indicated by reference numeral 1a is formed as a magnetic tape sliding surface on which a magnetic tape of a magnetic recording medium slides.

On the other hand, what is indicated by the reference numeral 4 in FIG. 2 is a core holder that holds the front core l and the back core 2, and is formed in the shape of a hollow casing. .2 is formed, an opening 4b is formed on the front side to expose the magnetic tape sliding surface 1a of the front core l, and an opening 4b is formed on the back side for exposing the magnetic tape sliding surface 1a of the front core l, and the upper end of the back side is formed with an opening 4a for inserting the magnetic tape. 1114c is formed to avoid the terminal 8.8. Also, the reference numeral 5 is a leaf spring which is an elastic member for press-welding the cores together, and is configured in the shape of a "<". There is.

When assembling with such a configuration, the front core l and the back core 2 fitted with the bobbin 3 are butted against each other to open the opening 4a.
At the same time, insert the back core 2 into the core holder 4.
The leaf spring 5 is bent and press-fitted between the back surface of the core holder 4 and the inner surface of the core holder 4. The leaf spring 5 presses the back of the back core 2 with its repulsive force, so that the back core 2 exerts pressure on the front core 1! Then, the front core l is pressed against the front inner surface of the core holder 4. As a result, both cores l.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, according to the structure in which the back surface of the back core 2 is pressed by the leaf spring 5 as described above, the terminals 8.8 are pressed against the back core 2.
Since the leaf spring 5 protrudes toward the back side, the shape of the leaf spring 5 is restricted. For this reason, it is not possible to obtain a sufficient pressing force on the leaf spring 5, and moreover, a pressing force that uniformly presses the back core 2, and adhesion with resin or the like is required to fix both cores 1.2. Therefore, there are problems in that the number of assembly steps increases and the environmental resistance of the head deteriorates due to the presence of the adhesive.

[Function] When such a structure is adopted, the shape and structure of the elastic member are not restricted by the terminal of the bobbin that is fitted into the back core, so a sufficient pressing force can be obtained to press the two cores together. In addition, it is possible to uniformly suppress the front core.

After inserting the front core 1, press the back side of the front core l toward the leaf spring 5 side to bend the leaf spring 5, and insert the back core 2 with the bobbin 3 fitted into the back face of the front core 1 and the inside of the core holder 4. Press fit between the sides. The leaf spring 5 presses the magnetic tape sliding surface 1a of the front core 1 with a repulsive force, the front core 1 is pressed against the back core 2, and the back core 2 is pressed against the inner surface of the back side of the core holder 4. This allows both cores 1.

In this case, the leaf spring 5 presses the magnetic tape sliding surface 1a at two locations, the upper frame portion 5a and the lower frame portion 5C, and
Since the contact at the location is not a line contact as in the conventional example shown in FIG. 2, but a surface contact, a sufficiently large pressing force can be obtained, and the pressing can be applied uniformly, resulting in a stable pressing force.

Therefore, sufficient mechanical strength can be obtained for pressing and fixing both cores 1 and 2, and there is no need for adhesion for reinforcement, simplifying the assembly process and reducing manufacturing costs. Further, as described above, sufficient mechanical strength can be obtained, and since no adhesive is used, the environmental resistance of the magnetic head can be improved.

[Effects] As is clear from the above description, in the induction type magnetic head according to the present invention, the front core constituting the portion of the magnetic circuit of the magnetic head on the side of the magnetic recording medium sliding surface is separated from the sliding surface side. The structure is such that the magnetic circuit is formed by pressing with an elastic member and press-contacting the back core constituting the remaining portion of the magnetic circuit to connect both cores. It is possible to obtain a large degree of freedom in designing the terminals of the bobbin, and it is possible to use an elastic member that provides a uniform and stable pressing force that is sufficient to press the two cores together, eliminating the need for gluing the two cores together, making assembly easier. It is possible to simplify the process, reduce manufacturing costs, and improve the environmental resistance of the head.
