Unlike a normal window structure in which the window frame is completely fitted and fixed within the window opening in the building wall, a bay window is attached to the building wall with the window frame A protruding outside beyond the building surface as shown in Figure 5. Since the window frame A is attached to the window frame A, the outdoor projecting portion of the window frame A is always exposed to wind and rain. Therefore, rainwater is likely to enter the interior of this outdoor overhang, especially through the gaps at the corner joints (reference numeral 40 in Figure 1), so a complete seal must be applied to the entire corner joint of this outdoor overhang. However, as mentioned above, this area is constantly exposed to wind and rain, so the sealing material deteriorates in a short period of time, causing water leakage.

In addition, the ends of the upper and lower horizontal frames and the left and right vertical frames that make up the window frame are cut at an angle, and these angle-cut ends are butted against each other and connected to each other, which is the so-called Otome corner joint. Conventionally, in a bay window framed by sections, a plate-shaped sealing material is interposed and sandwiched between the mutually opposing angular cut ends of each frame to form a watertight structure. If this type of corner joint is a large joint (butt joint between angled cut ends), the angled cut ends may become misaligned when they are joined, or the sealing material may break and become completely damaged. It was extremely difficult to form a watertight structure.

The present invention is a bay window devised in view of these points, and one embodiment thereof will be explained below based on the drawings. The window frame shape material used in the present invention is as shown in Figs. The outer peripheral wall 1 is a sloped wall with good drainage, and the inner peripheral wall 2 is a flat wall, and the front ends of both peripheral walls 1 and 2 are connected by a hanging wall 3, and the rear ends are connected by a partition wall 4. Connected to this wall 1
4 constitute an outdoor projecting portion 5 made of a hollow frame, and from the partition wall 4 of this outdoor projecting portion 5 to the outer peripheral wall 1
A mounting flange piece 6 extending in a substantially straight line is provided, and an abutting leg part 8 having a gasket fitting groove is formed at the extending tip of the flange piece 6. A hardware receiving rib 9 is integrally provided at the inner end of the partition wall 8 , and the partition wall 4 extends perpendicularly to the inner circumferential wall 2 to form a water return weir wall 1 .
0 is formed, and a gasket fitting groove 11 is provided at the tip of this weir wall 10 and on the side of the outdoor overhang 5, and an engaging flange is provided from the back of the weir wall 10 in the same direction as the mounting flange piece 6. A piece 12 is provided protrudingly.
Further, the flange piece 1 for engagement with the inside of the hollow frame-shaped outdoor projecting portion 5 of the inner circumferential wall 2, hanging wall 3, and partition wall 4, respectively.
2 are provided with connection fitting fitting grooves 15 to 18, respectively. The thus constructed window frame frame material includes the upper frame 19a, lower frame 19b, and left and right vertical frames 1 of the window frame shown in FIG.
9c, and each frame 9
0a, 19b, and 19c are formed by cutting their ends at a 45-degree angle to form what is called a large clasp end, and as shown in FIG. 19b, 19c connection fitting fitting grooves 15 and 15, 16 and 16, 17 and 17, 1
8 and 18 respectively with L-shaped connecting fittings 20
~23 and connect both frames 19 with these connecting fittings.
Both frames 19b and 19c are connected at right angles by properly aligning the matching end faces of frames 19b and 19c, and screwing 24 the connecting fitting 20 and the inner circumferential wall 2 of both frames 19b and 19c, respectively. By connecting all four frames 19a, 19b, and 19c, the frame main body 25 of the window frame is framed by a so-called Otome corner joint 40 (FIG. 1). After this assembly, the corner joints 40 of the frame main body 25, that is, the horizontal frames 19a, 19b and the vertical frame 1
Among the butt joints with 9c, the frame main body 25
A sealing material 26 such as silicone is applied or filled along the indoor side wall surface of the corner joint 40 on the mounting base 7 side, as shown in FIG. In addition, the gaskets 27 and 28 are fitted into the gasket fitting groove 11 of the water return weir wall 10 and the gasket fitting groove of the abutment leg 8, respectively, and the frame main body 2
Anchor aids 2 are placed at appropriate intervals in the circumferential direction of 5.
9 is inserted between the mounting flange piece 6 and the engaging flange piece 12 and abutted against the partition wall 4,
Further, the anchor auxiliary hardware 29 is fixed to the weir wall 4 and the hardware receiving rib 9 with screws 30a, 30b. Furthermore, a drain hole 31 is opened in the outer peripheral wall 1 of the lower frame 19b of the frame main body 25. The frame main body 25, which has been made into a unit in advance as described above, is applied from outside to the window opening of the building, and in this state, each anchor auxiliary fitting 29 is attached to the anchor 33 embedded in the building wall frame 32. A decorative lining material (picture frame) 35 that is welded and fitted into the window opening to cover the welded portion 34 is attached to the building, and the engaging flange piece 12 is attached to the lining material 35. The frame main body 2 is engaged and fixed with screws 36.
5 and the lining material 35 is closed, mortar 37 is applied to the outer surface of the building wall frame 32 and shaped, and a window door 38 is attached to the frame main body 25.

In this invention, the upper, lower, left, and right frames are formed from an outdoor overhang exposed to wind and rain and a mounting base located indoors from this and attached to the building frame. It is formed in a hollow shape by an outer peripheral wall on the side, a hanging wall on the outdoor side connecting the inner peripheral wall on the corresponding inner peripheral side and the inner and outer peripheral walls, and a partition wall on the indoor side corresponding to the hanging wall, and each of these frames The hollow outdoor overhanging parts are communicated with each other, and a drainage hole is formed in the outdoor overhanging part of the lower frame, so even if no sealing material is provided at the corner joints of the outdoor overhanging parts, Rainwater flowing in from this part is introduced into the hollow part, passes through the hollow outdoor overhang parts that communicate with each other, and is collected in the outdoor overhang part of the lower frame. will be discharged into
This will reduce the amount of rainwater entering the room.

Further, according to the present invention, the mounting base includes a mounting flange piece extending from the outer circumferential wall toward the indoor side and a corresponding engaging flange piece extending from the inner circumferential wall toward the indoor side. It is formed into a substantially U-shape by the partition wall connecting both of these flange parts,
Since a sealing material is applied or filled on the indoor side wall surface of the corner joint of the U-shaped mounting base of each frame, this seal part prevents rainwater from entering the room, and especially these seals prevent rainwater from entering the room. Since the mounting base is installed on the indoor wall side where the material is less exposed to wind and rain, it is less prone to deterioration and provides a sealing effect over a long period of time.

Furthermore, since the sealing material is applied or filled on the indoor wall surface of the corner joint as described above, it is possible to coat the indoor wall surface with the sealing material after each frame is joined at the corner joint. I can do it,
Therefore, sealing can be ensured.

Furthermore, since the sealing material is not exposed to the outside, the appearance is good, and there is an advantage that sealing work can be reduced because there is no need to seal the outdoor projecting portion.
