Abstract

PURPOSE:To minimize waste of remaining sheets, by a method wherein a final end detecting means for a sheet in roll is located up a line from a cutter, and the final end detecting means and a cutter are spaced away from each other by a distance longer than the minimium size of a cut sheet. CONSTITUTION:Delivery rollers 5 and 5' and feed rollers 8 and 8' are started, a sheet 1 in roll is cut to specified lengths by a cutter 7, and the cut sheets are fed to a main processing device. When the final end of the sheet 1 in roll is detected by a final end detecting means 9, the driving sources 11 of the deliv ery rollers 5 and 5' and the feed rollers 8 and 8' are stoppd, and the feed of the sheet to the main processing device is stopped. If a distance A between the final end detecting means 9 and the cutter 7 is same as the minimum size of the cut sheet, even the maximum size of the sheet remaining in a machine at a point of time when a conveyance system is stopped is A+ a maximum cut size, and the minimium size thereof is A.

It was inevitable that the paper size at the end of the roll paper would be an intermediate length. This has caused problems such as falling off the transport path inside the machine or jamming. As a countermeasure to this problem, the conventional method was to fix the end of the roll paper to the core and make it impossible to feed the roll paper before reaching the end. The work was time-consuming, and the productivity of the roller paper decreased, which was undesirable.3 [Object of the Invention] This invention is intended to solve the above-mentioned problems, and the purpose of this invention is to create a roll paper whose end is not fixed to the core. It is an object of the present invention to provide a paper feeding device that prevents paper of an intermediate size at the end of the paper from being supplied to a main device.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a paper feeding device equipped with a cutter that sequentially cuts roll paper into desired sizes, and includes a means for detecting the end of the roll paper upstream of the cutter, and detects the end of the roll paper using the detection signal. In addition to stopping the system, the distance between the end detection means and the cutter is set to be greater than the minimum size of cut paper, so that waste of remaining paper can be minimized.

Reference numeral 9 denotes a terminal end detecting means for the roll paper 1 for detecting that the roll paper 1 has been completely fed out from the core 2. and is installed at a position p spaced apart from the minimum size A of the cut paper. The end detection means 9 is constituted by a microswitch equipped with an actuator 9a, and the actuator 9a is connected to the outlet portion 4 of the cartridge 3.
It is provided so as to contact the roll paper 1 through the through hole 1.0. As this end detection means 9, an actuator 9a is used.
The reason for applying the micro-sinch having the following is to take into account the case where the roll paper 1 is a photosensitive material, but if a photosensitive material is not used, a light source such as a photosensor may be used.

In the above embodiment, when the paper size is specified by operating the numeric keypad or the like and the start switch (not shown) is pressed, the feed roller 5.5' and the feed roller 8.8' start, and the roll paper 1 cutter 7 for each specified size.
The cut paper is then fed to the main processing unit. When the end of the roll paper 1 is detected by the end detection means 9 as shown from the two-dot chain line to the solid line in FIG. stops, and paper feeding to the main processing device is immediately stopped. In this case, the end detection means 9 detects that if the distance A from the cutter 7 is the same as the minimum size of the cut paper,
The largest remaining paper left in the machine when the conveyance system stops is the "maximum cut size," and the smallest paper is "A (minimum cut size)." Then, at the same time as the conveyance system stops, the feed roller 5 on the upstream side of the cutter 7
, 5' are released, it becomes easy to take out the remaining paper and insert a new roll paper.

As described above, the present invention provides a paper feed bag and a machine equipped with a cutter for sequentially cutting roll paper into desired sizes, and includes a means for detecting the end of the roll paper upstream of the cutter, and a link between the end detecting means and the cutter. The feature is that the distance is greater than the minimum size of cut paper, so the paper at the end of the roll paper is not transported to the main processing device at an unreasonable length and falls off the transport path in the two machines. In addition, since the remaining paper is within the range of the A1 maximum cut size to the minimum cut size, it is possible to minimize the waste of the remaining paper. Therefore, there is no need to fix the end of the roll paper to the core as in the past and make it impossible to feed out the roll paper before reaching the end. It has various excellent effects such as improved performance.
