Abstract

PURPOSE:To execute the plate width rolling of a thin plate by making it have a buckling binding force in the plate width direction, by providing an idler roller and a pair of plate width rolling rollers between two sets of rolling mills for rolling a band plate in the plate thickness direction, and displacing the idler roller in the plate thickness direction in accordance with the plate thickness and the plate width. CONSTITUTION:An idler roller 14 of a large diameter which can be displaced in the plate thickness direction (the upper and lower direction) of the band plate 11 between two sets of rolling mills 12, 13 which have been provided along the passing direction. Subsequently, in a roller supporting part, the band plate 11 is inserted and held in its plate width direction and a pair of opposed plate width rolling rollers 15, 16 are attached so that they can be reversed and displaced mutually along the plate width direction. Also, in accordance with an extent that the plate thickness of the band plate 11 is thin against its plate width, the idler roller 14 is displaced to the band plate 11 side and a contact length of the band plate 11 against the idler roller 14 is increased, and made to have a buckling binding force of the band plate 11 in the plate width direction, and the plate width rolling is executed without generating the buckling.

As shown in FIG. 3, which shows the structure of such a conventional strip width rolling mill, two rolling mills 2 are arranged side by side along the strip passing direction of the strip 1 (from left to right in the figure). , 3, there are a pair of upper and lower pinch rolls 4, 5 that sandwich the strip 1, and on both sides of these pinch rolls 4, 5, opposite to each other in the width direction of the strip 1, the strip 1 is held in the width direction. A pair of left and right sheet width rolling rolls 6
.. A strip width rolling mill consisting of 7 and 7 is disposed. As shown in FIG. 4, which shows the cross-sectional shape in the direction of the TV-IV arrow in FIG. 3,
The strip plate 1 is in a state where its central portion is pinched by the pinch rolls 4 and 5, and both ends in the plate width direction are compressed and deformed by the left and right plate width rolling rolls 6.7, as shown in FIG. Rolling mill 3 shown in
The plate is rolled to a uniform thickness.

<Problems to be solved by the invention> In the conventional strip width rolling mill shown in FIG. 3, the roll length of the pinch rolls 4 and 5 is shorter than the strip width of the strip 1,
If the thickness of the strip 1 is thin, as shown in FIG. 5, which shows the rolling state at this time, both ends of the strip 1 that are not restrained by the pinch rolls 4 and 5 will buckle. There were drawbacks. Moreover, pinch roll 4°5 and plate width rolling roll 6
.. Since the bearing parts of 7 were concentrated in a narrow space, the structure was complicated and the maintainability was not very good.

<Means for Solving the Problems> The strip width rolling method of the present invention is performed between two rolling mills that are arranged in the direction in which the strips travel and roll each strip in the thickness direction. an idler roll that can be displaced in the thickness direction of the strip by rolling into contact with the strip, and a pair of width rolling rolls that face the strip in the width direction of the strip and roll the strip in the width direction; and displacing the idler roll in the thickness direction of the strip plate according to the thickness and width of the strip plate while adjusting the contact length of the strip plate with the idler roll. The present invention is characterized in that the strip is rolled in the width direction of the strip by a width rolling roll.

Effect〉 When the thickness of the strip is thinner than the strip width, the idler roll is pressed against the strip so that the contact length of the strip with the idler roll becomes longer, and buckling of the strip in the strip width direction is prevented. The width of the strip is rolled using a width rolling roll while the restraining force is increased.

<Embodiment> As shown in FIG. 1 showing the concept of an embodiment of a rolling apparatus capable of realizing the strip width rolling method according to the present invention, and FIG. 2 showing the appearance of its main parts, The two rolling mills 12 and 13 arranged along the plate direction are finish rolling mills that roll the strip 11 in the thickness direction.
A large-diameter idler roll 14 that can be displaced in the thickness direction of the strip plate 11 (vertical direction in FIG. 1) is arranged between the strip plates 13 and 13. A roll support member (not shown) that supports the idler roll 14 has a pair of width rolling rolls 15 and 16 facing each other with the strip 11 sandwiched therebetween in the width direction of the strip 11 by a drive mechanism (not shown). Mutually oppositely equal amounts t! The strip 11 is rolled in width by these width rolling rolls 15 and 16.

The thinner the thickness of the strip 11 is relative to its width, the more the idler roll 14 is displaced toward the strip 11, increasing the contact length of the strip 11 with the idler roll 14, thereby increasing the contact length in the strip width direction. The belt plate 11 is provided with a buckling restraining force. Then, in this state, the strip 11 is rolled across its width without causing buckling, and then finished rolled in a rolling mill 13 to a uniform thickness.

<Effects of the Invention> According to the present invention, a single pinch roll is used instead of a pair of pinch rolls.
Since the hydraulic roll is displaced in the thickness direction of the strip to generate the buckling restraint force, the mechanism can be simplified and even thin strips can be rolled in good width.
