When connecting conductors such as gas-insulated busbars using flanges, etc., the diameter of the conductor increases at the conductor joint, which increases the size of the container that houses the conductor, which goes against the desire for smaller containers. Therefore, it is desired that the outer diameter of the conductor connection portion be approximately the same as that of the other portions. FIG. 1 shows a conventional conductor connection of this type. That is, conventionally, when connecting the conductors 1 and 2, the outer periphery of one conductor 1 near the tip is cut to form a narrow neck portion 3, and the bolt 5 is inserted through the recess 4 on the outer periphery of the narrow neck portion 3. The conductors 1 and 2 were electrically and mechanically connected by insertion and fastening.

However, such a structure has the drawback that the cross-sectional area of the conductor 1 becomes small at the narrow neck portion 3, resulting in a local decrease in current carrying capacity and mechanical strength. especially,
When these conductors 1 and 2 are AC conductors, the presence of the narrow neck portion 3 has the disadvantage that the current carrying capacity is reduced due to the skin effect. Another drawback is that the electric field is disturbed by the narrow neck portion 3 of the conductor, which becomes a weak point in terms of insulation.

The purpose of this invention is to suppress the decrease in the conductor cross-sectional area and the decrease in mechanical strength, even though the conductor connection part has an outer diameter that is almost the same as that of other conductor parts, and also to suppress the decrease in mechanical strength. The object of the present invention is to provide a conductor connection that causes few problems.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 2 shows an example in which the present invention is applied to a connection between pipe-shaped conductors 1 and 2. In the conductor connection part of this embodiment, both conductors 1 and 2 whose ends to be connected have approximately the same outer diameter as the other parts are butted against each other at their ends to be connected, and one of the conductors 1 is A plurality of long hole-shaped depressions 7 are provided on the outer periphery near the tip and are independent in the circumferential direction and communicated with the holes 6 of the conductor 1, and the bolts 5 are inserted from these depressions 7.
Connector 2 so that its head does not protrude from the outer diameter of conductor 2.
Both conductors 1 and 2 are connected by screwing into the side. In particular, the bolt 5 is screwed in parallel to the axes of the conductors 1 and 2.

In both of the above embodiments, both ends of the recess 7 in the longitudinal direction are square, but as shown in FIGS. 4A and 4B, the recess 7
Both longitudinal ends of may be rounded. With such a shape, the recess 7 can be processed more easily than with a rectangular shape. In this case, in order to improve the seating of the bolt 5, it is preferable to fit a washer 8 as shown in FIG. 5 into the round end of the recess 7.

As explained above, the conductor connection part of the present invention abuts both conductors whose ends to be connected have approximately the same outer diameter as the other parts, and has a plurality of circumferentially independent depressions on the outer periphery of one of the conductors. By inserting bolts into these recesses and connecting both conductors so that the bolt head does not protrude from the outer diameter of the conductor, the conductor connection part has a structure that has approximately the same outer diameter as the other conductor parts, and the conductor It is possible to suppress a decrease in the cross-sectional area and also to suppress a decrease in mechanical strength, and since there is no narrow neck, there is almost no disturbance of the electric field due to this, and problems with insulation can be avoided.

Further, according to the present invention, it is possible to prevent the conductor connection portion from increasing the size of the container that accommodates it. Furthermore, in the present invention, the bolt is screwed in parallel to the axis of the conductor, so when drilling a screw hole in the conductor for inserting the bolt, it is necessary to drill the screw hole diagonally in the conductor. This method is very suitable for practical use because the screw hole drilling work can be easily performed without the need for a special machine.
