There is a key system that uses holograms, but the data reading device used for this includes a card insertion/ejection slot, a data reading section that reads data from an optical recording medium provided on the card, and a data reading unit that reads data from an optical recording medium installed in the card insertion/ejection slot. Some devices are equipped with a transfer section that transfers the card to a data reading section and returns the card after data reading to the insertion/ejection port. However, in such a data reading device, if a failure occurs in the transfer unit due to a power outage, other electrical or mechanical failure, or deformation of the card immediately after the card is inserted from the insertion/ejection slot, the inserted card will be lost. There are many cases where the information remains in the reading device.

In such cases, it is necessary to remove the card to prevent damage to the card, and if the failure is due to deformation of the card, the failure itself can be repaired by removing the card itself. ,
Conventionally, the data reading device had to be removed from the wall in which it was buried, and the panel, case, etc. of the data reading device had to be removed, making repair work extremely troublesome.

This was done in view of the circumstances related to the present invention, and its purpose is to transfer the card inserted from the insertion/ejection slot to the data reading section, read the data recorded on the card, and then remove the card. In the data reading device configured to transfer the card to the insertion/ejection port, an endless belt circulating in the card transfer direction outside the card transfer area, and an endless belt that extends from outside the card transfer area through the transfer area toward the insertion/ejection port side. a pull-out claw movably attached to the endless belt; an elastic member that urges the endless belt to move the pull-out claw in a direction away from the insertion/ejection opening;
The card is inserted from the outside of the wall to the outside of the card transfer area on the inside through a hole bored in the wall on the side of the insertion/ejection opening, and includes a removable operation rod that is connected to the endless belt so that it can be driven around the endless belt, When the card is accumulated in the transfer area, the operation rod is connected to the endless belt and the pull-out claw is moved to the insertion/ejection port side so that the card can be moved to the insertion/ejection port. To provide a data reading device in which a card can be reliably taken out without requiring the removal of the reading device itself or a panel or the like and without damaging the card even in the event of a mechanical failure.

In the present device configured as described above, when the card C is inserted from the insertion/ejection port 13, both edges of the card C are in the guide grooves 31 of the guide members 31 and 32.
a, 32a, and detected by sensor Sf.
A signal to drive the motor M in normal rotation and a signal to start emitting light from the light emitting element LED are emitted from sensor Sf, and the motor M is driven in normal rotation, and its output is transmitted through pulley M 1 , belt 53, and pulleys 51c and 52c. is transmitted to the feed rollers 51d, 52d, and is also transmitted to the feed rollers 51u, 52u via the gears 51b, 52b, 51g, 52g, forming the upper and lower pairs of the front and rear feed rollers 51u, 5.
1d, 52u, and 52d are rotated as shown by arrows in FIG. 6, and the light emitting element LED starts emitting light. The leading end of the card C is the feed roller 51
When the card C is pushed to the position where it is bitten by the feed rollers 51d and 51u, the card C is fed by the feeding rollers 51d and 51u, and the both side edges are moved by the guide members 31 and 32.
The optical recording medium C' is transferred while being guided by the guide grooves 31a and 32a, and the optical recording medium C' is caused to pass under the data reading hole 31b. light emitting element LED
The light emitted from the lens 41a is focused by the lens 41a, and then projected onto the optical recording medium C' passing under the hole 31b, transmitted through this optical recording medium C', and the diffracted light is An image is formed on each light receiving element PD in the dark housing 42 at 42a, and data is sequentially read by an electric circuit connected thereto.

As described above, when the card C is accumulated in the middle of the transfer area due to an electrical or mechanical failure, the service rod R is inserted through the insertion/ejection opening 14a of the front panel 14. The tip of the service rod R passes through the hole 66a of the insertion guide member 66 and locks into the hole 65a of the receiver 65, and when the service rod R is further inserted, the belt 63 resists the elasticity of the coil spring 62b of the pulley 62 and rotates. The receiver 65 is rotated as shown by the arrow in FIG. The leading edge of the moved card C, which is being stored in the middle, is locked and the card C is moved toward the insertion/ejection port 13 side.

When the service rod R is inserted from the insertion port 14a to near its base end, the receiver 65 moves from the pulley 61 to below the pulley 62, and the pull-out member 64 is conversely moved from the pulley 62 to near the pulley 61. The card C is moved until most of the card C is pulled out from the insertion opening 13. When the pressing force on the service rod R is loosened, the pulley 62 is reversed by the elasticity of the spring coil 62b stored in the process of pushing the service rod R, and the belt 63 is rotated in the opposite direction.
It is returned to the old position shown by the solid line in FIG.

Further, in the above embodiment, a data reading device using a card C equipped with an optical recording medium C′ on which data is optically recorded has been described, but a data reading device using a card C equipped with a magnetic recording medium It may be. Further, in the above-described embodiment, the tip of the service rod R is connected to the receiver 65, and by pushing the receiver 65, the belt 63 and the pull-out member 6 are removed.
4 is shown, the manner in which the service rod R and the pull-out member 64 are connected is not particularly limited. For example, the tip of the service rod R may be directly connected to the pull-out member 64 by screwing or the like. , the drawer member 64 by the service rod R
Of course, it is also possible to adopt a structure in which the card C is moved toward the insertion/ejection port 13 side.

As described above, in the case of the proposed device, if a card is retained inside the device, the card can be easily and quickly pulled back into the insertion/ejection opening by simply inserting the operating rod from the outside without removing the device itself or the panel. If the device failure is due to deformation of the card, the failure can be repaired by removing the card.

Furthermore, since the operating rod is inserted outside the card transport area, the card is not thereby damaged. Furthermore, since the locking claw 64b of the drawing member 64, that is, the drawing claw moves from outside the card transfer area into the transfer area, it only comes into contact with the end of the card and does not damage the recording surface of the card.
