[Detailed description of the invention] (Field of industrial application) The present invention is a device that is fitted into the mouth of a high-pressure cylinder and used to safely discharge the pressure inside the cylinder when the cylinder seal plate ruptures under various conditions. Regarding safety caps.

(Prior art) For example, in powder fire extinguishers, beer taps, etc., a small high-pressure cylinder is housed inside the container in order to push out the contents, but the upper opening of the small cylinder is usually sealed. A plate is attached to the container, and when the sealing plate is opened by making a puncture wound, the high-pressure gas inside is released.

Therefore, if these cylinders are heated due to fire or the like, a dangerous situation may occur. In other words, as the pressure inside the cylinder rises abnormally due to heating, the relatively thin sealing plate ruptures, and the high-pressure gas inside the cylinder along with the pieces of the sealing plate blows out from the opening, causing the cylinder itself to move in an unspecified direction. It becomes extremely dangerous as it flies wildly.

Conventionally, in order to prevent such a risk, a base plate part having a through hole and an attached plate part attached to the base plate part so as to close the hole are used. A lid for a gas cylinder with a recessed portion has already been published as Utility Model Application No. 106512/1983.

(Problems to be solved with the invention) However, in the case of the above-mentioned conventional technology,
Since the lid itself also serves as a sealing plate, it is not only not possible to apply it to off-the-shelf general-purpose gas cylinders, but it is also technically difficult to uniformly form local recesses on a large number of attached plates, making it difficult to ensure safety. It's not something that can be guaranteed. Further, since the base plate having the attached plate is fastened to the mouth of the cylinder via a suitable gasket and a cap nut having a through hole in the upper part, the cost is high.

(Means for solving the problem) In this invention, even if the internal pressure of the cylinder becomes abnormally high and there is a risk of explosion, the ejected gas can be safely discharged, and the surface of the sealing plate The purpose of the present invention is to provide a safety cap for high pressure cylinders that maintains the surrounding area of the opening in a clean state. Specifically, the cap is screwed onto an external thread provided on the outer circumferential surface of the mouth of the high pressure cylinder. The cap has an inner diameter of approximately 1.5 mm, and the inner circumferential wall surface of the cap, except for a part at the inner depth, has an internal threaded portion that is roughly machined to engage with an external threaded portion formed on the outer circumferential surface of the mouth of the high-pressure cylinder. The present invention relates to a safety cap for a high pressure cylinder, which is provided with a plurality of exhaust pressure holes communicating with the outside at equidistant positions in the circumferential direction in the internally threaded portion of the cap.

The specific content of the present invention will be explained below based on an illustrated embodiment. In FIGS. 1 to 3, 1 is a cap, 2 is a high-pressure cylinder, and 3 is a mouth of the high-pressure cylinder.

The cap 1 consists of a cylindrical part having an inner diameter to be screwed onto an external threaded part provided on the outer peripheral surface of the mouth part 3 of the high-pressure cylinder 2, and a ceiling part. An internal threaded part 4 that can be engaged with an external threaded part formed at the mouth part 3 of the high-pressure cylinder 2 is formed by rough machining except for a part of the inner part near the inner part.

In this case, the rough machining of the internal threaded part 4 is done by screwing the cap 1 onto the mouth part 3 of the high pressure cylinder 2, and when high pressure gas leaks from the sealing plate 5, the screwed internal threaded part 4 is connected to the external part. It is sufficient that the gas can pass relatively easily along the thread with the threaded portion, and this purpose can be sufficiently achieved by forming the normal internal threaded portion 4 on the cap 1.

Furthermore, a plurality of exhaust pressure holes 7a to 7d communicating with the outside of the cap 1 in the circumferential direction of the cap 1 are provided in the portion of the cap 1 where the internal threaded portion 4 is provided so as to face each other at equally spaced positions. It is perforated.

Further, FIG. 4 shows another embodiment of the present invention, in which the number of exhaust pressure holes is an odd number, and three exhaust pressure holes 7a to 7c are positioned at equal intervals from each other in the circumferential direction. This allows the reaction force to be concentrated at the center of the cylinder to maintain balance and prevent the cylinder from moving violently.

Note that the number of exhaust pressure holes is not limited to what is shown in the figure; if an even number is provided, they are placed opposite each other, and if an odd number is provided, they are provided at equal intervals, so that each exhaust hole has a The resulting reaction force is canceled out or balanced, and when the gas cylinder explodes, the ejected gas can be discharged evenly from the left and right or at multiple points in the circumferential direction from the peripheral wall of the cap fitted into the opening of the cylinder.

(Function) In the configuration of the above-described embodiment, the cap 1 is screwed into the cap 1 in line with the external thread provided on the outer peripheral surface of the mouth 3 of the high-pressure cylinder 2, and the sealing plate 5 and the inner part of the cap 1 near the ceiling are screwed together. Attach it leaving a gap 6 between the parts.

In this state, there is a slight gap S along the threaded part between the external threaded part of the mouth part 3 of the high pressure cylinder 2 and the internal threaded part 4 roughly machined on the inner peripheral surface of the cap 1. Therefore, when the internal pressure of the high-pressure cylinder 2 rises significantly due to abnormal heating, etc., the sealing plate 5 is pushed off from the mouth part 3, and the resulting ejected gas inside the high-pressure cylinder flows through the gap 6. The gas is discharged to the outside little by little through the gap S and through the exhaust pressure hole 7, thereby avoiding the risk of explosive gas ejection.

Moreover, at this time, the gas flowing out is under pressure in the process of reaching the discharge hole 7 from the gap 6 along the narrow gap S formed by the screwing of the external threaded part of the cylinder opening 3 and the internal threaded part 4 of the cap 1. was significantly reduced,
After that, not only is the exhaust pressure discharged from each of the exhaust pressure holes 7a to 7d, but also the exhaust pressure holes 7a and 7 in this case are discharged.
Since c, 7b, and 7d are provided at positions facing each other, their reaction forces upon gas outflow cancel each other out.

(Effect of the invention) As mentioned above, the invention has a
Except for a part of the inner part, the internal threaded part that engages with the external threaded part formed on the outer circumferential surface of the mouth of the high-pressure cylinder is roughly machined, so it is screwed into the mouth of the high-pressure cylinder. When they are aligned, a certain gap is formed between the sealing plate of the high-pressure cylinder and the innermost part of the cap (near the ceiling), and a gap is formed between the external thread of the mouth of the high-pressure cylinder and the inner circumference of the cap. A slight gap S can be formed along the threaded portion between the inner threaded portion and the inner threaded portion formed on the surface.

In addition, since the internally threaded portion of the cap is provided with a plurality of exhaust pressure holes communicating with the outside at equal intervals in the circumferential direction, the high-pressure cylinder 2 may be heated due to a fire, etc., and the internal pressure of the cylinder may be reduced. Even if the seal plate ruptures due to abnormally high pressure, the pressure of the outflow gas will be significantly reduced in the process from the gap to the exhaust pressure hole 7 along the narrow gap S, and a small amount will be removed from each exhaust pressure hole 7. By exhausting the pressure one by one,
The reaction forces that would occur during discharge are mutually canceled out, and as a result, the danger of the cylinder itself being thrown around can be prevented. Furthermore, since the cap covers the surface of the sealing plate, it has various beneficial effects such as being able to keep the surface of the sealing plate clean.
