は両者同一であり、はぼ均一分布の空気供給がなされて
いる。従って凹部3bでは燃料濃度が希薄となって燃焼
量が少なく、また完全燃焼し難い上に、側壁の放熱面積
は凸部3aと同等であり、燃焼室3の温度は高温の凸部
3aと低温の凹部3bとのマダラ状態となる。この赤熱
温度のマダラは熱線透過体1から放出される輻射熱量の
低下を招くにとどまらず、完全燃焼を阻害するために特
に凹部3bで不完全燃焼を生じ易く、燃焼排ガス中に多
量の一酸化炭素を排出したり、臭気やススを発生したり
することにもなり、燃焼の異常をも招くものであった。
