Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify assembling and to reduce the contacting force between a control member and a photosensitive body-side control part to prevent wear in the early stage by energizing only a developing roll with an elastic member. CONSTITUTION:The gap between a developing roll 8 and a photosensitive body surface 2a is kept at a prescribed value by a disc 17 and some projecting part of a control member 28, and the spring force of a coiled spring is weakened to simplify assembling because only the developing roll 8 is energized by the coiled spring 18, and further, the attaching work of a developing device is simplified because it is sufficient if only a housing 7 is attached to a copying machine body 1 to attach the developing device. A control member 28 is shaken to vary the length of projecting parts brought into contact with the disc 17 and the gap between the developing roll 8 and the photosensitive surface 2a is adjusted to many stages. Since a shaft 14 of the developing roll 8 is connected to the driving side through a biaxial parallel joint 19 or a universal joint, it is rotated smoothly even if the developing roll 8 is moved.

The housing 7 has a bottom side housing 11 and an opening side housing 12 connected through an insulator 13,
The housing 11 on the bottom side is grounded, and as a result, the housing 12 on the opening side facing the photoreceptor 2 is in an electrically floating state, so that the charge on the photoreceptor 2 does not leak from the housing 12 on the opening side. In addition, the static electricity generated when the developer in the housing 7 is stirred flows from the bottom housing 11 to the ground and does not accumulate in the housing 7, causing sparks (discharge) to nearby conductive objects and adversely affecting the copying equipment. I have nothing to give.

The shaft 14 of the developing roll 8 passes through the elongated hole 15 of the opening-side housing 12 and is rotatably supported by a bearing body 16.
At its end, there is a regulating member on the side of the developing roll, for example, a disc 17.
is fixed, and the bearing body 16 is biased toward the photoconductor 2 by an elastic member, for example, a coil spring 18, so that the developing roll 8 is pushed toward the center of the photoconductor 2, and the shaft 14 is It is connected to a rotating shaft 21 equipped with a gear 20 through a joint, for example, a two-axis parallel joint 19, which allows eccentricity of the motor 24 through first and second gears 22 and 23. It is connected to an output shaft 25, and the output shaft 25 is connected to the conveyance roll 9 via a clutch 26. Either the central part or both ends of the biaxial parallel joint 19 is an insulator to electrically float the developing roll 8,
Even if the Tebe bias is used, this is to prevent leaks and problems.

A photoreceptor-side regulating portion, for example, a regulating member 28, is swingably supported on the shaft 27 of the photoreceptor 2, and first, second, and third protrusions 29, 30, 31 are provided at one end of the regulating member 28. are formed, and the distances of each protrusion from the axis 27 are different, so that the disc 17 comes into contact with any one of the protrusions, and an arc is formed on the other end of the regulating member 2g. A groove 32 is formed, and the bolt 33 is screwed into the fixed side 34 through the arcuate groove 32 so that any one of the protrusions can be fixed at a swinging position where it abuts against the disc 17.

Because of this, the gap between the developing roll 8 and the photoreceptor surface 2α can be maintained at a predetermined value by the disc 17 and the protruding portion of the regulating member 28, and only the developing roll 8 is attached by the coil spring 18. Since the spring force is weakened, assembly is easy, and the developing device only needs to be attached to the copying machine body 1 by attaching the housing 7, which simplifies the work.

As shown in FIG. 6, the conveyor roll 9 has a sleeve 36 made of grooved aluminum and a plastic ring 37 at both ends.
or both ends 9 as shown in Figure 7.
Aluminum IJ-P3 with only α polished to a mirror finish and the central portion 9b processed with a rough surface by sandblasting, and furthermore, as shown in FIG. 8, a groove 37' is formed only in the central portion 9b.
8, the frictional resistance at both ends 9α of the transport roll 9 is smaller than that at the center 9b, and the 9th
The length of the magnet roll 8α of the developing roll 8 shown in the figure is the same as the length of the central portion 9b. In FIG. 9, 8b is a sleeve.

Because of this, when the developer is transported by the transport roll 9, the amount of developer is small at both ends qa, and the amount of developer is small at the center 9.
Since the number increases in b, the sleeve 8 of the developing roll 8
The developer can be uniformly adhered onto the developing roll 8 without much developer adhering to both ends where the magnet roll 8α is not present in b.

In other words, when the developer is uniformly adhered and transported by the transport roll 9, the adhesion of the developer is weak at both ends of the developing roll 8 where the magnet roll 8α is not present, and the developer falls outward, so that the developer is not transported by the transport roll 9. More developer adheres to both ends and less to the center, making it impossible to achieve uniform development.

At this time, since the tilt holding member 73 is given a clockwise rotational force about the pin 74 via the rod 76 by the spring force of the spring 78, the mounting frame 67 rotates upward about the pin 70. According to the bottom surface 731 and the top surface 75cL
The inclined holding member 73 is sequentially moved clockwise, and when it is rotated to a predetermined rotational position, the bent portion 73'b is
engages with the protrusion 75b of the stopper 75.

If you release your hand from the mounting frame 67 in this state, the mounting frame 67 will try to rotate downward around the bottle 70, but one side surface 73b of the inclined holding member 73 will touch the protrusion 75b of the stopper 75.
Since the inclined holding member 73 does not rotate counterclockwise, the mounting frame 67 is held in an inclined position, and the belt-shaped photoreceptor 2 can be easily inspected.

In addition, when returning to the horizontal position, the mounting frame 67 is rotated slightly upward from the above-mentioned state, and the one side surface 13b and the protrusion 75

Effects of the Invention Since only the developing roll 8 is biased by an elastic member, the elastic force may be weak, which simplifies assembly, and also simplifies installation and removal of the developing device. Moreover, the regulation member and the photoconductor side are not restricted. It is possible to prevent premature wear due to the reduced contact force with the parts.
