本考案はダストブーツ取付装置に関し、特にラ
ツク・ピニオン式ステアリング装置のステアリン
グギヤハウジング(ラツク挿通パイプ)に装備さ

省略し、ステアリングギヤハウジングをシヤシー
メンバ等の固定部材に取付ける為のブラケツトを
用い、ステアリングギヤハウジング外周面に嵌挿
したブーツ端の外周に上記ブラケツトを当て該ブ
ラケツトの両側端部をシヤシーフレーム等の固定
部材にボルト等により締付固定することによりブ
ーツ端とステアリングギヤハウジングとの締付け
及びステアリングギヤハウジングの固定部材への
取付をブラケツトにて同時に行なうようにしたも
のも従来開発され実開昭55−16915号公報にて公

の部分より破損することがあると言う問題を有し

ているがラツク軸1又は該ラツク軸先端にジヨイ
ントを介して連結されるリンクロツド等の外周面
に嵌着される小径取付部が形成され、上記ベロー
ズ3及びその両端の取付部7、小径取付部等によ

り、この切込み又はスリツト14によりインシユ
レータ4を左右に大きく拡開して後述するように
ベローズ端の取付部7及びパイプ2の外周面に嵌

用凸部又は凹部等を設けることなく緊密且つ確実
に固定されシール性の向上をはかり得ると共に、
ダストブーツは直接金属製のブラケツトにて締付
けられていないので取付部周辺のオゾンクラツク
及びそれに伴なうダストブーツの破損等の発生等
はほぼ完全に防止され、ダストブーツ材としてプ
ラスチツク等の弾力性にとぼしい材料を使用して
も長期にわたり確実なるシール性を持続すること
