In conventional time-sharing electronic exchanges, the PB signal register and the PB signal sender were each housed separately in a two-wire encoder/decoder. In this conventional system, even though the two-wire encoder/decoder has both analog signal input and output functions, when the PB signal register is accommodated, only the analog signal output function is used and no input function is used. It becomes useless,
Furthermore, when a PB signal sender is accommodated, only the analog signal input function is used, but the output function becomes unnecessary, making the use of encoders and decoders extremely inefficient and uneconomical.

An object of the present invention is to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks by accommodating both a PB signal register and a PB signal sender in the same encoder/decoder, and to provide an economically efficient register/sender for a time division switch for the encoder/decoder. The goal is to provide a method.

To achieve the above object, the present invention uses a 4-wire code/decoder instead of a 2-wire code/decoder, a PB signal register at the analog signal output terminal, and a PB signal sender at the analog signal input terminal. Configure to accommodate.

Figure 1 shows the register and
FIG. 3 is a block diagram of a sender method. In FIG. 1, when subscriber telephone 1 makes a call, a line circuit (not shown) is set to a calling state. The calling state of the line circuit is detected by a processor (not shown) that constantly scans the calling state, and the processor switches the time division switch 7 to connect the calling subscriber telephone 1 to the PB signal register 3. The time-division communication path 8 is closed under control. As a result, the calling subscriber's telephone 1 is connected to the PB signal register 3 via the two-wire code/decoder 2, the time division communication path 8, and the two-wire code/decoder 2. The signal flow in this connection path is the calling subscriber telephone 1.
The only direction is from to the PB signal register 3,
There is no opposite direction. The calling subscriber telephone 1 receives a dial tone from an audible tone generator (not shown) via a receiving path (not shown). The calling subscriber telephone 1 confirms the dial tone and selects PB.
A selection signal based on a dial signal (hereinafter referred to as PB signal) is sent to the PB signal register 3. On the other hand, P.B.
A PB signal sender 4, which is provided completely independently of the signal register 3, transmits the PB signal to the two-wire encoder/decoder 2 and the time-division channel under the control of the processor when it is necessary to send the PB signal to the outside line. 9. Two-wire code/
It is connected to an outside line 6 via a decoder 2 and a trunk 5. After that, the PB sent from the PB signal sender 4
The signal is sent to the outside line 6 via this connection path. As explained above, the PB signal register and PB
The signal sender will use a separate two-wire code/decoder.

FIG. 2 is a block diagram of an embodiment of the invention.
In FIG. 2, the PB signal register 3 and the PB signal sender 4 are housed in the same four-wire encoder/decoder 10. The PB signal register 3 connects the PB signal sender 4 to the analog signal output terminal of the 4-wire encoder/decoder.
are respectively connected to analog signal input terminals.
With this arrangement, the processor connects the calling subscriber's telephone 1 to the digital input time slot of the four-wire encoder/decoder 10 via the time-division channel 8 and the outside line 6 to the channel 7. are respectively connected to the digital output time slots of the same four-wire encoder/decoder 10 via the four-wire encoder/decoder 10. As a result, the PB signal from the calling subscriber telephone 1 is a two-wire code
The signal is sent to the PB signal register 3 via the analog signal output terminals of the decoder 2, the time division communication path 8, and the 4-wire code/decoder 10. Also, PB signal sender 4
The PB signal is sent to the outside line 6 via the analog signal input terminal of the 4-wire encoder/decoder 10, the time division communication path 9, the 2-wire encoder/decoder 2, and the trunk 5. Here, the PB signal register 3 and the PB signal sender 4 are a common 4-wire encoder/decoder 1.

As explained above, the present invention eliminates the need for the two-wire code/decoder that was conventionally used separately for each of the PB signal register and the PB signal sender, and uses the same four-wire code for them. - Only the decoder is required, which has the effect of enabling cost-effective and efficient operation of the encoder and decoder.

In the above description, the signal received by the register or sent from the sender is the so-called PB.
It was a dial signal, but in principle this signal is
It does not have to be a PB dial signal. That is, this signal may be any analog signal within the frequency band that can be processed by the time division electronic exchange. All of these are included within the scope of the present invention as variations of the present invention.
