Abstract

PURPOSE:To generate an audio signal even in special reproduction other than normal reproduction by generating the 2nd audio signal on the basis of an information signal except a normal video signal and an audio signal which are stored on a video disk previously. CONSTITUTION:A video signal outputted by a playback signal processing circuit 1 is supplied to a monitor receiver 2 and an audio signal, on the other hand, is supplied to a speaker 4 through an audio output amplifier 3. An information signal reproduced from the other audio channel is supplied to a data demodulat ing circuit 5 and converted there into a binary-coded signal, which is stored temporarily in the buffer memory in an error correcting circuit 6, which performs error correcting operation and sends out the result to a system control circuit 7. The circuit 7 inputs audio generation data in the information signal to a speech synthesizing circuit 8 when specific audio generation condition which is programmed previously is satisfied, and a composite speech signal corresponding to input data is generated by the circuit 8 and supplied to a speaker 4 through an amplifier 8.
