Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to engulf a roll-in part of skin to a terminal part of a base material, by making use of a phenomenon wherein a flexible tube is kept flattening gradually by pressing the same while the same is being widened in an elliptic state. CONSTITUTION:A molded article W consisting of a base material Wa laminated in a previous process and the skin Wb having a roll-in part Wc is set up so that a skin Wb side is positioned on a receiving part 5. Then a top force 7 and a press pad 11 are made to descend at the same time. Along with a matter that the receiving pad 5 of a bottom force 3 is pressed against a stationary die plate 1 side, the roll-in part Wc of the molded article W is stood up vertically and the inside surface of the lower part of a rubber tube 12 is brought into contact with the same. Simultaneously with the above, a rubber tube 12 is kept flattening while air in the rubber tube 12 is being discharged through a pipe 13 and the roll-in part Wc is being engulfed at the same time by the rubber tube 12. Then the rubber tube 12 is made to inflate by feeding the air to the rubber tube 12 through the pipe 13 when the top force 7 has been clamped with the bottom force 3. The rubber tube 12 is invaded into a gap part in a complicated shape according to the above matter and the roll-in part Wc is made to engulf completely in a terminal part of the base material Wa.

Lower the upper mold and presser pad toward the lower mold at the same time. When the tube surrounding the lower peripheral edge of the upper mold comes into contact with the molded product set in the lower mold, the tube expands into an elliptical shape and collapses while the air inside the tube is exhausted from the pipe. At this time, the tube collapses while simultaneously rolling up the rolled-up portion of the epidermis.

Then, when the upper mold is closed to the lower mold, air is supplied from the pipe to the tube to cause it to expand. Along with this, the tube enters the complex-shaped gap and completely wraps the rolled-up portion of the skin around the end portion of the base material. After this state continues for a predetermined period of time, the supply of air to the tube is stopped, and the upper mold is raised to open the mold. As a result, a molded article is obtained in which the wrapped portion of the skin is adhered to the end portion of the base material.
