- 回転軸側に固定され、該回転軸に従回動する回
転環と、ハウジング内周に嵌着された固定環とが
密接摺動するメカニカルシールにおいて、前記回
転軸の外周面における前記回転環と前記固定環と
の摺動部近傍位置に、ねじ溝を螺刻するとともに
、該回転軸に前記摺動部の内周側空間に連通する
中空部を形成してなることを特徴とするメカニカ
ルシールの冷却装置。
