Abstract

PURPOSE:To equalize the load for each inter-office junction line with a packet exchange by totalizing the number of transmission packets for each call number and giving the number of the minimum totalized value to a new call. CONSTITUTION:A call control circuit 15' actuates a call number selection circuit 16 to give numbers to calls. A packet number totalizer circuit 17 totalizes the number of packets sent to an inter-office junction line 3 via a packet control circuit 12, a circuit selection circuit 13 and a transmission circuit 14 for each call number after a terminal circuit 2 reaches a reception circuit 11. A call number selection circuit 16 refers to the number of packets totalized by the circuit 17 for each call number to select a call number of the minimum number of packets and informs it to the circuit 15'. Then the circuit 15' gives the call number sent from the circuit 16 to a call which is newly produced. In other words, a call number having the minimum number of packets is given to the new call. This can equalize the number of packets which are carried for each call number.
