回動可能に支承し、弁体周縁のシール部を弁箱内
周に設けた弁座に当接させて閉弁するバタフライ
弁において、前記軸受部の止水を行う止水リング
は、弁棒に環装して軸受部に配設した際に、全閉
状態の弁体位置に対応する外周面上の２箇所に、
弁体側と弁箱側とに亘つて臨むように前記弁棒と
平行にそれぞれ形成した２本の軸方向溝と、この
両軸方向溝と止水リングの弁体側端コーナ部にお
いて直角方向に連続するように該止水リングの弁
体側を縮径して形成した環状の周方向溝とを有す
ると共に、前記両軸方向溝のそれぞれの両側に隣
接して、該軸方向溝より浅い水圧導入溝をそれぞ
れ形成し、前記両軸方向溝と環状の周方向溝とに
は、弾性シール材をその表面が止水リングの表面
と同一面あるいは表面から若干突出するように装
着し、前記両軸方向溝に装着した弾性シール材の
両側部の一部が前記水圧導入溝にそれぞれ臨むよ
