Abstract

PURPOSE:An attractant to an adult beetle (HIMEKOGENE) (Anomala refocuprea) that contains, as an active ingredient, 4-allyl-2-metoxyphenol, thus showing high selectivity of attractive action on adult HIMEKOGANE. CONSTITUTION:Eugenol obtained from essential oil, namely 4-allyl-2-metho xyphenol, is used as an acative ingredient to give an attractant for adult HIMEKOGANE. The attractant is applied together with attracting tools on appropriate sites around field to be damaged by the beetles to attract and let them fall down into water or make them immobile to kill.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention is an agriculturally important pest that damages the underground parts of plants such as potato and groundnut, which is an excellent attractant to adults of the Japanese chafer. Control is difficult because the larvae live underground. Conventionally, the method of controlling this disease has been to mix granules or powders of insecticides such as diazinon or MPP with the soil before planting the crops. The effect of repelling existing larvae and newly invading larvae within one month after chemical treatment is observed, but after that, the effective ingredients disappear due to decomposition, etc., and the most important problem is the enlargement of crops. It cannot be expected to be effective against larvae that invade and cause damage during the growing season.

この時期の防除にはダイアジノン剤、MPP剤。For control during this period, use diazinon and MPP agents.

The most effective method is to spray granular insecticides such as DBP agents on the ridges, but this will control the adult insects that come to lay eggs or the larvae that have just hatched, and as a result, the larvae that will cause damage to the underground area. It is an object.

However, the generation period of the adult scuttle beetles is long and they do not always appear within a fixed period of time, and if the above-mentioned insecticides are left untreated, the active ingredients of the insecticides will easily decompose and the insecticidal effect will be significantly reduced. Therefore, in order to increase the insect control effect, the number of times the insecticide is sprayed must be increased.
In addition, because it is difficult to predict the occurrence of pests, it is not possible to know when to effectively control them, and even though it requires significant economic cost, it has not been possible to demonstrate excellent effects.

Furthermore, continuous use of insecticides has increased the resistance of the grasshopper to the insecticides, weakening the insecticidal effect and causing social problems such as environmental pollution.

The present invention is the result of extensive research aimed at improving these drawbacks, and as a result, we have discovered an excellent attractant for attracting the adults of the Japanese lesser beetle, and are aiming to exterminate the lesser common beetle. In other words, as a result of examining various compounds to search for substances that have the effect of attracting adults of the Japanese white beetle, we found that 4-allyl-
It was discovered that 2-methoxyphenol (hereinafter referred to as eugenol) is effective. Moreover, this eugenol is selectively effective against adult beetles of the beetles, and does not act equally against beetles belonging to the so-called Scarabidae family; for example, it is not very effective against adult beetles of the beetles.

On the other hand, geraniol, which is widely contained in essential oils like eugenol, is effective against adults of the Scarab beetles, but not so effective against adults of the Scarab beetles. These findings are shown below.

It was installed at a height of 1 to 1.5 m above the ground on trees such as pine and dogwood. In the test, one attractor was installed on each of five trees, and the number of attracted insects was investigated for 30 days. The attractors were collected at approximately 10-day intervals. The results are shown in Table 1.

According to the present invention, by placing the above-mentioned attractant together with an appropriate attractor at a desired position around a field that is attacked by the Japanese white beetle, the aroma thereof can be used to attract the adult Japanese white beetle and cause them to fall into water or the like. Or it kills insects by immobilizing them.

The attractant of the present invention can be used, for example, by combining a plurality of vertical plates, placing the attractant in the center of the plate, and using a collision plate type trap that traps the flying flycatcher adults by colliding with the cough plate, and applying an adhesive. There is a sticky board type trap that traps the flying white beetle adults by providing an attractant at a desired location on the board.

次に、本発明の実施例について説明する。Next, examples of the present invention will be described.
