Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate and automatize the coupling process of the shaft of a motor with a boss section including, on its inner surface, a shape memory alloy liner having one end thereof exposed to the outside, by forming the end plate section of peripheral edge of the boss section from a rubber plate so that the coupling between the boss section and the motor shaft may be made only by heating. CONSTITUTION:A boss section 16 including on its inner surface a shape memory alloy liner 20 having one end exposed to the outside is arranged in the center section of an end plate section 15 which is attached to the other end of a fan 13. Further, a rubber plate 17 is provided on the peripheral edge of the boss section 16 so that the rubber plate 17 supports the boss section. A guide taper 18 is formed in an inserted section opening in the peripheral edge of the boss section 16. A shaft 19 is a shaft of a fan motor which is not shown and which is beforehand attached to a compartment unit body. With this arrangement, after the boss section 16 is inserted obliquely onto the motor shaft 19 while the rubber plate 17 of the end plate section 15 is flexibly deformed, the shaft 19 and the boss section 16 may be coupled together only by heating. Thereby it is possible to facilitate and automatize the coupling thereof.

First, the boss portion 16 is brought into contact with the fan motor shaft (~19), and the fan 13 is moved while adjusting the dimension in the axial direction.Next, the rubber plate 17 is deformed until the fan 13 is in a straight line with the shaft 19. Then, the shaft 14 is inserted into the shaft hole 12 of the side wall 11, and the rubber plate 17 is restored to its original state as shown in FIG.

When the boss portion 16 is heated with hot air, the liner 20 made of the shape memory alloy reaches the austenite transformation point (As to Af point) due to the deformability of the shape memory alloy at a temperature at which the shape changes (transformation temperature TI). A large restoring force is generated that tends to shrink toward the center of the circumference. As a result, the shape memory alloy liner 20 has a shape memory alloy at the boss portion 16. In order to attract the rubber plate 17, it is fixed to the boss portion 16 and the shaft 19, and the connection is completed.

Therefore, there is no need for the conventional bolt tightening work, and heating work is sufficient, making it easy to automate the process by automatically blowing warm air.
Since it can also serve as a moving space for the fan 13,
The space occupied by the air blower can be reduced.

In this embodiment, a separate type air conditioner has been described, but the present invention can be similarly implemented in a wide range of integrated air conditioners or a general shaft-and-hoss connection. 'Effects of the Invention As is clear from the above embodiments, the present invention extends one end of a liner made of shape memory alloy to the boss, provides a guide taper in the insertion end opening, and extends the end plate of the peripheral edge of the boss with rubber. By forming it from a plate, the shaft and boss part can be connected by simply heating the host part, making the connection work easier and automated.Furthermore, the shaft of the fan motor can be used as part of the insertion space for the crossflow fan. This has the effect of making it more compact.
