Conventional structure and its problems Conventionally, when the drain from a washing machine was located at a higher level than the washing machine's drain port, a drain pump was installed at the end of the washing machine's drain hose to drain the water, or a drain pump was built in. The drain hose of the washed washing machine was led to the drainage area to drain the water.

However, in the former case, manual washing machines are inconvenient to use because they require the pump to operate every time the water is drained, and automatic washing machines do not pump when the user leaves the washing machine during washing. Since the pump needs to operate from the start to the end of washing, the life of the pump is shortened and power consumption is lost.

In the latter case, automatic type washing machines with a built-in drainage pump, the drainage pump operates for a certain period of time from the start of draining, so the pump continues to operate even if the draining finishes early. This results in wasted power consumption and
As soon as the drainage is completed, the next process does not proceed, resulting in wasted time and the washing time cannot be shortened.

Furthermore, when using water other than tap water (for example, bath water) in a washing machine, it is possible to use a bucket or reverse the connection of the drain pump and use it as a water supply pump, but these methods are not convenient to use.

When the washing process of the washing machine 1 progresses and the water is drained, the drain cock device operates, and water enters the water supply and drainage pump device 7 from the washing machine 1 through the drain hose 6, and the water in the air trap 21 is drained. Since the pressure increases, the pressure switch 19 operates. At this time, the motor 11 is energized regardless of the changeover switch 22, and due to the rotation of the learner 12,
Drainage water passes through the water suction pipe 8, the pump water suction pipe 14, and the pump discharge pipe 16. The water inside the washing machine 1 is drained to the outside of the washing machine 1 because it flows into the discharge pipe 10.

As the drainage work progresses and the water in the washing machine 1 disappears, the pressure in the air trap 21 decreases and the pressure switch 19
becomes FF, and the rotation of the motor 11 stops. Therefore, when the water in the washing machine 1 runs out, the water supply and drainage pump device 7 stops, and the motor 11 can be driven only for the time required for draining water.

Further, in this embodiment, the pressure switch 1e includes a detection means for detecting the presence or absence of a predetermined amount of water, and based on a signal from this detection means,
It also serves as a control means for controlling the energization of the motor 13,
The control means may be a separate member, and the separate member may be operated based on a signal from a detection means such as the pressure switch 16 to control the energization of the motor 13.

Further, although a pressure switch is used as a means to detect the presence of water, other water pressure detection means may be used, such as a water level detection means such as a float switch, or a water detection means using a thermistor. In short, the water inside the pump can be detected. It is fine as long as it is something.
