DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to an improvement in a reed for a loom, which is held between a sley groove and a reed cap and performs beating by the back and forth movement of a sley sword.

In conventional reeds for looms, the lead wire is generally fixed, and the reed width and reed density of one reed cannot be changed. Therefore, each time the weaving width, warp thickness, or warp density of the target fabric changes, a reed with an appropriate reeding width and reeding density must be used, making it unnecessary to use relatively expensive reeds. The problem was that I had to keep several different types.

Furthermore, the fact that the reed width is constant in one reed means that the woven width of the fabric woven using this reed is also constant over the entire length. Therefore, it has been impossible to obtain, for example, a monolithically woven fabric with partially different weave widths.

Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a reed in which the reed width and reed density are variable in one reed, so that various warp yarns with different thicknesses can be used depending on the one reed, and It is possible to weave fabrics with different weaving widths with a single reed, and furthermore, by continuously changing the reed width and reed density during weaving, it is possible to weave fabrics with different weave widths using a single reed. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a special fabric in which the weaving width is partially different.

In order to achieve the above object, in this invention, both ends of a plurality of lead wires are inserted into a support shaft and held in a movable state, and in order to hold each lead wire at an even pitch, a wire is wound around the support shaft. Each lead wire is held between appropriate pitches of coil springs, and the movable states of each lead wire are linked through the coil spring, and when the lead wires at both ends move in the direction of moving away from or toward each other, the lead at the middle part The wires also move according to the expansion/contraction state of the coil spring, and are distributed at even pitches. The upper and lower coil springs that hold both ends of the lead wires are wound in different directions, so that forces in opposite directions are applied to both ends of each lead wire.
Therefore, another feature is that the lead wire is always in a state parallel to the warp thread insertion direction.

In the figure, reference numeral 1 indicates the entire lead for a loom, including a large number of lead wires 2 arranged in parallel at regular intervals with a unit width, and support shafts 3 and 3' that hold the lead wires 2 at both ends thereof. , coil springs 4, 4' that position the lead wires 2 and maintain the wires at approximately the same distance, and upper frames 5 and lower frames 6 that support and protect the support shafts 3, 3'. It is configured. The coil springs 4, 4' have the same pitch, but are wound in different directions.

Therefore, each lead wire 2 can change its reed width in its expanded and contracted state as the spring expands and contracts, and can obtain a reed density that corresponds to the pitch of the spring in its expanded and contracted state.

As a fixed type, for example, a movable frame is provided at both ends, both ends of the coil spring are attached to this movable frame, and the movable frame is fixed or movable relative to the upper frame and lower frame by a combination of bolts and wing nuts. When converting the reed width and reed density, a method such as loosening the wing nut to obtain a predetermined reed width, and then tightening the wing nut again to fix it, can be adopted.

In addition, as a continuously variable type, a movable frame at both ends is slidably provided on a support shaft to connect both ends of a coil spring, and a means is provided to continuously drive the movable frames in directions toward or away from each other. That's fine.

For example, as shown in FIGS. 3 to 6, rotating shafts 8 with screw grooves in opposite directions are disposed parallel to the lower frame 6 near both ends with the center as the boundary,
It is possible to adopt a configuration in which a pair of movable arms 9 are screwed into each threaded portion, and the movable arms 9 and movable frame 10 are connected via a connecting member 11. That is, when the rotation shaft 8 is rotated, the pair of movable arms 9 are moved toward or away from each other.
Therefore, the movable frames 10 also move toward or away from each other. If the rotating shaft 8 is rotated forward and backward using a handwheel and stopped at a predetermined position, it can be used in the same manner as the fixed type. To achieve a continuously variable state during weaving, the driving source is the swinging motion of a working part of the loom, such as a sleigh sword, which is converted into a rotational motion in the forward and reverse directions and transmitted to the rotating shaft 8. It would be better to use a method like this. As is well known, the oscillating motion of the sled sword is carried out continuously during weaving, so depending on the speed in either the forward or reverse direction, the reed width and thus the woven width can be gradually increased or decreased. It will be done. After a certain gradual increase/decrease state, in order to keep the reed width and weave width constant, it is sufficient to cut off the transmission to the rotation shaft and stop the rotation.

In addition, the rotation shaft 8 and the movable arm 9 screwed thereto
The combination of a guide shaft and a movable arm slidably inserted along the guide shaft is used, and the movable arms 9 are pulled toward and away from each other by a flexible wire to continuously connect the lead wires. It is also possible to vary the value.

Further, in the above-described embodiment, each lead wire is held between each pitch of the upper and lower coil springs, but the lead wire is not limited to this, and may be held between two or more pitches. In short, it may be selected as appropriate depending on the length per pitch of the coil spring used, the maximum to minimum reed width, and how to determine the reed density.

In addition, when the reed width of the variable reed section, which is divided by the movable frame at both ends, is narrowed, the shuttle, which flies in a curved line through the hole due to the swinging motion of the thread sword, will move around the lead frame at both ends. In order to prevent the lead wires from passing through the threads and flying out to the outside, the leads are placed slightly inward from both the left and right ends of the entire length of the lead frame, and between the left and right ends and the movable frame, there are lead wires that do not involve the insertion of the warp threads and are used to stop the shuttle. It shall be installed. In this case, both ends of the coil spring attached to the movable frame are extended and attached to the left and right ends of the lead frame, and an appropriate number of lead wires are connected to the coil springs between these ends and the movable frame at an appropriate pitch in the same manner as above. Just install it.

have. The reed according to the present invention is optimal when such a bag is integrally woven. In other words, if the neck 13, body 12, and neck 14 are woven in this order, cylindrical weaving is first performed with the lead width matched to the neck 13, and at the time of weaving the shoulder 15 before moving on to the body 12, Cylindrical weaving is performed while gradually increasing the reed width. After that, the body part 12 is cylindrical weaved with the reed width kept constant, and the reed width is gradually decreased from the beginning of the shoulder part 16 until it reaches the beginning of the neck part 14, where the reed width is kept constant and the neck part 12 is weaved. 13, the illustrated bag is completed.

The reed for a loom according to the present invention has a plurality of lead wires positioned variably using coil springs, so the reed width can be freely adjusted. Therefore, it is possible to manufacture fabrics having various weave widths, warp thicknesses, and warp densities using a single reed, and there is no need to have many types of relatively expensive reeds, making it extremely economical. . Furthermore, by associating it with a loom as mentioned above, it is possible to continuously change the reed width during weaving, making it possible to easily provide special-shaped woven fabrics having various weave widths depending on the part. It is. It will also be appreciated that when used in conjunction with a cylindrical weave, it is also possible to provide a bag with an integral continuous weave from the large diameter body to the small diameter neck. Furthermore, since the coil springs that hold each lead wire are wound in opposite directions at the top and bottom, each lead wire receives forces in opposite directions at its upper and lower ends, and as a result, it is always It is maintained in a parallel state and good reshaping operation is also guaranteed.
