Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable dot pin spacing to be reduced and enable Brailles conforming to practical use to be displayed, by providing a belt having a desired display patterns between a display surface and dot pins. CONSTITUTION:The display belt 13 is provided between the display surface 12 having pin-projecting holes 11a and the dot pins 16 driven by a solenoid 15. The diameter of the holes provided in the belt 13 and the display surface 12 is preferably about 2mm., and the diameter of the dot pins is preferably about 1mm.. The spacing between the dot pins can be reduced to 3-4.5mm., since a plurality of dot pins can be operated by a single solenoid.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in the Braille system in which Braille is displayed by operating a Braille pin, as shown in Fig. A braille display system consisting of 4 is known. A braille pin 4 is installed in the holding solenoid 3 facing downwards, and is configured to supply a set current or a reset current to the solenoid 3. By flowing, the Braille pin is moved up and down via the spring 5.

A method of displaying Braille using such a holding type solenoid 4 is as shown in FIG.
Holding type solenoids 3a, 3b, 3o and 3di must be provided corresponding to b e 4 cs and 4d, respectively. For this reason, a normal six-point display is difficult due to its structure, and a four-point display as shown in FIG. 4 is common and is used to represent numbers used with number marks.

In FIG. 1, all three Braille pins 16 are in a reset state (a state in which the pins do not protrude from the display surface) using a solenoid 15 and a spring 17. After the Braille pins are reset as described above, the belt is moved by driving the belt winding mechanism 21 shown in FIG. 2, and the display belt 13 having all the predetermined display patterns is set in a predetermined position. do. Next, by turning off the excitation of the solenoid 15, all the Braille pins are moved upward by the restoring force of the spring.
At this time, if a hole is made in the display belt 13 at the corresponding position (hole 11b), the m braille pin will be inserted into the hole 11 on the display surface.
If there is no hole, the upward movement will be stopped on the back side of the belt 13 during the display.

In the present invention, the diameter of the braille pins arranged in the holes formed in the display belt and the display surface is preferably about 3 to 4.5 mm, and the spacing between the braille pins N6 is preferably about 3 to 4. As described in detail, according to the present invention, the point display interval can be up to 5N. It can be easily made small, and it can be done by displaying Braille that fits the actual body.
