Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a fitting member high in rigidity by simple work, by molding a surface material into a hollow three-dimensional skin body, injecting a hard foamable resin into the skin body through an opening at the end surface thereof, placing the body into a mold and allowing the resin to foam and set to be integrated with the body. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic resin such as PVC is loaded into molds C1, C2 to be molded into a hollow three-dimensional skin material 1. In the case where the skin material 1 is used for a door arm rest, it is recommendable to form openings 1a, 1a... at an end surface thereof that will abut against a door panel. With the skin material 1 left in the molds, a hard foamable resin 2' is injected via the openings 1a, 1a... into the skin material 1 and is allowed to foam and set. Since the foamed resin layer 2 has a hardness of 100 deg. or more measured by a C-type hardness tester, the produced item can retain its shape without inserting a core, and has enough rigidity and hardness.

Conventional technology Conventionally, vehicle equipment parts such as door armrests, etc.
The facing material is preformed as a hollow three-dimensional film body, and after inserting a core material made of metal material etc. into the inside of the facing material through the opening on the end face, the hardness is about 70" to 80" on the C type hardness tester. It is manufactured by injecting a hard foamed resin into a hollow part and foaming and hardening it in a mold.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, in this manufacturing method, the core material is inserted inside the facing material and integrated by resin foaming, so if the facing material has a simple three-dimensional shape, the core material can be easily removed. However, when the shape of the facing material becomes complex due to the diversification of shapes, the shape of the core material also becomes complicated, so insertion becomes extremely time-consuming, or there are cases where the core material cannot be inserted. . In addition, to insert the core material into the facing material, first mold the facing material with a mold, then split the mold, insert the core material inside the facing material, and then fit the facing material into the mold. Since the foamed resin must be injected after the mold is clamped, the reality is that productivity is extremely low because it takes time to split the mold, clamp the mold, etc.

This vehicle equipment member is used as a door armrest. The facing material 1 is formed in advance as a hollow three-dimensional film body by rotary molding or blow molding using synthetic resin such as PVC, and the resin foam layer 2 that is integrally cured inside the facing material 1 is of C type. It is made of a highly hard foamed resin with a hardness of 100' or more on a hardness meter. As the foamed resin, an azo foamed resin such as hard urethane can be used, and the facing material 1 may be made of a slush molded product such as PVC or the like, which has a soft foamed layer integrally molded on the inner surface.

When manufacturing vehicle equipment parts in this way, foamed resin M2 has a hardness of 100" or more on the C type hardness tester, so it is not only possible to maintain the shape without inserting a core material, but also to ensure sufficient rigidity and strength. In addition, it can be formed into any complex shape without the need to insert a core material, and the process is simple and productivity can be increased. .
