関し、手動による録音レベルと自動による録音レ
ベルとをなめらかに切換えるようにしたものであ
る。

一般にテープレコーダにおいて、録音レベルの
設定は操作者の好みで任意のレベルに設定する手
動式(Manual Level Control以下MLCと云う)
と、予め適正レベルに設定しておく自動式
(Automatic Level Control以下ALCと云う)と
があり、それぞれ用途、好みに応じて使い分けを
している。然しこれらを使い分ける際にはそのた
びに切換えスイツチを操作し、MLCに切換えた
後手動でボリユーム等を操作してレベル設定を行
なう操作を要し、操作の煩雑に加えて操作忘れ等
があり又、ALCよりMLCに切換えた時、MLCが
レベルの低い位置に設定されていた場合は、切換
えたとたん低レベルで録音されるという問題があ
る。またMLCよりALCに切換えた時は前記の逆
で小さい音から急に大きな音が録音される事にな
り、不都合を生じていた。さらに録音を除々に大
きくして自動に切換えたり、自動録音から除々に
小さくしてゆくいわゆるフエードイン、フエード
アウト録音の時には自動と手動のレベルを同一に
合わせてから切換えを行なう必要があるからこれ
を行うにはレベルインジケータ等を見ながら短時
間に操作する必要があり、煩雑で熱源を要すると
いう欠欠点があつた。
