る転写手段と、転写後に像担持体のクリーニング
をするクリーニング手段とを具備し、少なくとも
上記の像担持体と一次帯電器とクリーニング手段
とを1つのカートリツジ内に収納し、該カートリ
ツジを交換可能としたカートリツジ方式の画像形
成装置において、カートリツジを画像形成装置本
体から外ずした時に像担持体を遮光する開閉シヤ
ツターは、互いに協働する第1のシヤツター部材
および第2のシヤツター部材を備え、第1のシヤ
ツター部材はカートリツジ枠体に設けたガイド溝
に係合して移動するガイドピンおよび第2のシヤ
ツター部材を案内する連結溝を有し、且つ第2の
シヤツター部材は該連結溝に係合して移動する連
結軸およびカートリツジ枠体に回転自在に支持さ
れたアームに支持される部分を有することを特徴
とする画像形成装置。 2 該第1シヤツター部材と第2シヤツター部材
