Claims (1)

  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 用紙の紙面に表示された画像を読み取る読取ヘッドと、 それら用紙と読取へ′ゾドとの少なくとも一方を移動さ
    せることにより読取ヘッドを相対的に紙面に沿って移動
    させる読取ヘッド移動装置′と、前記読取ヘッドにより
    読み取られるべき領域を特定するデータを記憶する記憶
    手段と、 読取りの開始を指令するために操作される読取指令操作
    装置と、 その読取指令操作装置の操作に応じて前記記憶手段に記
    憶されているデータに基づいて前記読取ヘッド移動装置
    を作動させ、前記読取ヘッドに一定の領域内の画像を読
    み取らせる制御装置とを含む画像読取装置において、 前記読取指令操作装置の操作に応じて読取りが開始され
    た後、その読取りを中止させるために操作される読取中
    止指令操作装置を設けるとともに、前記制御装置にその
    読取中止指令操作装置の操作に応じて前記読取トヘッド
    移動装置の作動を即座にまたは予め定められた条件を満
    たす位置において停止させ、かつ当該制御装置を新たな
    読取りの開始に備えたスタンバイ状態とする読取中止制
    御手段を設けたことを特徴とする読取中止の可能な画像
    読取装置。
