筒状ガスケット５と、外面におねじ６が設けられるとと
もに軸中心に一方の継手部材３を挿通させる孔７があけ
られている中空ポルト８と、内面に中空ボルト８のおね
じ６にねじ合わされるめねじ９が設けられるとともに頂
壁１０中夫に他方の継手部材４を挿通させる孔１１があ
けられている袋ナット１２とからなる管継手において、
ガスケット５を所定の位置に保つように保持するリテー
ナ１４を備えており、リテーナ１４はガスケット５の一
側面にそわされる円環状本体１９を有し、本体１９の外
周縁をその円周方向に２等分する位置に継手部材４の端
部外面を挾みつける一対の支持突縁２０，２１が対向状
に設けられるとともに、同外周縁の２等分された一方の
側にのみガスケット受け２２が設けられていることを特
