DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a method for selectively forming pattern areas with different gloss on a thermoplastic sheet. Regarding the manufacturing method of decorative sheets, which is characterized by adjusting the gloss by applying It is used for materials, cabinets, automobile interiors, etc. Conventionally, the following method has been used to produce a decorative sheet with excellent three-dimensional effect by providing different gloss levels in the patterned areas. (1) A method in which a pattern layer with a uniform gloss is provided on the base sheet, and a pattern with a different gloss is provided on the surface of the pattern, (2) A transparent resin is applied after providing pattern areas with different resin absorption properties on the base sheet. (3) A method in which a base sheet is provided with pattern areas with different pigment particle sizes, and then, in some cases, a transparent resin is applied to the pattern surface; (4) A method is provided in which a base sheet is provided with pattern areas with different pigment particle sizes. (5) After providing parts with different gloss on a release film, applying a release layer to match the parts with different gloss, as the case may be. A method of providing a pattern and transferring the pattern to a base sheet. However, in (1), (3), and (4) above, since the ink surface is on the surface, it lacks abrasion resistance, and if a transparent resin is applied as a surface protection layer, the difference in gloss will be small and the effect will be reduced. . In addition, although this drawback is solved in (2) above, the printing ink for applying the resin-absorbing pattern must contain a considerable amount of extender pigment, resulting in a lack of printing stability.
In (5), a transfer process is required and is complicated. In view of these drawbacks, the present inventors have developed a decorative sheet that has excellent abrasion resistance, has a different gloss, and is rich in three-dimensional effect. Next, the present invention will be specifically explained using the drawings. A pattern layer is formed on a thermoplastic sheet 1 using a printing ink 2a containing a solvent with a high dissolving power for the resin constituting the thermoplastic sheet and a printing ink 2b containing a small solvent. After that, a transparent resin 3 is applied to the pattern surface. By applying and further drying, printing ink 2
A pattern with different glossiness is formed on the surface of the decorative sheet because the gloss of the pattern part formed by a disappears more than the gloss of the pattern part formed by the printing ink 2b. The effect will be greater if the thermoplastic sheet used is a resin with relatively poor solvent resistance.Thermoplastic sheets whose main components are ABS resin, AS resin, polystyrene resin, acrylic resin, polycarbonate resin, etc. A sheet is preferably used. As solvents for printing inks that make up areas with high gloss and fading, ketone solvents with dissolving power such as methyl ethyl ketone, methyl isobutyl ketone, and cyclohexane are particularly effective, while solvents with relatively slow evaporation rates such as toluene, xylene, and butyl acetate are particularly effective. is also available. Furthermore, solvents with relatively high dissolving power such as dimethylformamide, tetrahydrofuran, carbon tetrachloride, and trichloroethylene can also be used. In addition, as solvents for printing ink that make up areas that do not fade easily, alcohol-based solvents such as methanol, ethanol, and isopropanol, and solvents with relatively fast evaporation rates such as methyl acetate and ethyl acetate can be used. It is also possible to use However, the solvents constituting the above two types of printing inks do not need to each be one component, but can also be manufactured using multiple components. These combinations are based on the difference in dissolving power, and the former and the latter may be combined and adjusted by their composition ratio. The surface of a thermoplastic sheet, which has been decorated with printing ink containing a solvent with dissolving power, is partially degraded by the solvent, and when viewed under a microscope, small cracks appear, a so-called brushing phenomenon. Can be seen. However, since the colorant of the printing ink is made of pigment, the gloss has disappeared, and in that state, there is not much difference in the gloss between the patterns of the printing ink 2a and the printing ink 2b in terms of appearance. The transparent resin layer applied to the patterned surface can be made of any resin commonly used for thermoplastic sheets, such as polyvinyl chloride resin, acrylic resin, polyester resin, urethane resin, polystyrene resin, butyral resin. The solvent used for coating the resin is preferably one with high solubility. This is because the dissolving power of the solvent is added to the dissolving power of the printing ink. Since the coated transparent resin reproduces the gloss caused by the above-mentioned tortoise pattern, there is a difference in gloss between the printing inks 2a and 2b. In addition, as a method for applying the above-mentioned printing, normal methods such as convex plate, gravure, offset, silk screen, and flexography can be used.As methods for applying the transparent resin layer, in addition to the above-mentioned printing methods, roll coating, flow coating, and knife coating can be used. Coating methods such as , spray coating, etc. can also be used. As is clear from the above explanation, according to the present invention, since it has a surface protective layer, it has abrasion resistance and weather resistance, and there is no need to mix extender pigments into the printing ink more than necessary, so the quality of the printing ink is stable. It is possible to produce decorative sheets with different gloss patterns simply by selecting a solvent for ordinary printing ink. EXAMPLES The present invention will be explained in more detail with reference to Examples below. <Example 1> ABS sheet 0.25m/m thickness (8556 manufactured by Sanpo Jushi Co., Ltd.)
Printing ink using acrylic resin as a vehicle,
One type is ethyl acetate/isopropyl alcohol =
6/4 was used as a solvent to print the parts other than the wood grain conduit part, and the other type was printed using methyl ethyl ketone/methyl isobutyl ketone/toluene = 2/4/4 as a solvent to print the conduit parts. Printing was done using the gravure method. After that, methyl ethyl ketone/
When a surface protective layer was applied using a gravure method using a printing ink containing cyclohexanone/toluene = 1/2/5 as a solvent (plate depth 45μ), a wood grain decorative sheet was obtained in which only the conduit portions had lost their luster. This decorative sheet had a rich three-dimensional effect and closely resembled natural wood. <Example 2> After printing the same wood grain pattern as in Example 1 on a polycarbonate sheet 0.04 m/m thick (manufactured by Mitsubishi Edogawa Chemical Co., Ltd., Corpilon), a urethane resin (manufactured by Takeda Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Takerakku) was printed using a reverse coater.
D204EA/Takenate XUV534TV=5/1, solvent methyl ethyl ketone 100%) was coated (5 g/m 2 dry). This decorative sheet had excellent scratch resistance and solvent resistance, and had a high degree of transparency similar to that of a polyester decorative board. <Example 3> When a decorative sheet was made using the following combination of solvents, the change in gloss was as shown in the table.
Note that acrylic resin was used as the resin constituting the printing ink and the transparent resin layer. 【table】
