Claims

Upper and lower members each having a polishing stone at the bottom are provided with a pressure receiving plate between the upper fixed piece and the lower fixed piece so as to be freely vertically movable. An upper air spring is provided which presses down the upper and lower members by pressing the abrasive stone against the rail running surface, and is provided between the lower fixing piece and the pressure receiving plate to press the upper and lower members downward by pressing the pressure receiving plate upward. A polishing device for a rail polishing vehicle, characterized in that a lower air spring is provided for lifting a polishing stone from a rail running surface.
