Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a keyboard which can indicate accurately the positions of keys by displaying characters in the row or column direction on the supper surface side of a housing which encloses key tops in order to indicate the key positions. CONSTITUTION:The numeric characters 25, i.e., 1-6 which show the row positions of keys are printed at the left side of a group 22 of key tops on the keyboard enclosed by a housing 21 together with alphabets 24 (A-H) showing the column positions of keys printed at the upper side of the group 22 respectively. Then the position of a specific key 23 is shown as ''4-E'' and also can be transmitted accurately and orally. Thus a specific key to be replaced can be clearly indicated when keys or key top labels are replaced.
