[Detailed Description of the Invention] This invention relates to a rubber sealing material for caissons at offshore stockpiling bases. In recent years, at offshore crude oil storage bases, which have been frequently used, oil-proof fences are placed around the oil storage tanks at appropriate intervals, and concrete caissons for breakwaters are constructed around the perimeter at appropriate intervals.

There are various methods of constructing a caisson.
The simplest method is to build the caisson on land, lift the completed caisson on a hoist, transport it to the sinking site, and then line it up on the underwater ground and sink it. but,
Between the caissons, there must be a distance of 5cm to 10cm.
A gap of about cm will be created. Therefore, crude oil, etc., which leaks during landing operations and floats on the sea, further climbs over the oil-proof fence and flows out to the outside ocean through the gap in the caisson.

The legs 2, 2 that open to the left and right are caisson C 1 ,
When compressed by C 2 , as shown in Figures 4 and 5, it is formed into a gradually tapered shape so that its entire surface comes into close contact with the surface of the caisson, and its tip is bent outward on both sides. It is something to keep.

According to the present invention, concrete caissons for use as wave breakers for offshore stockpiling bases may be made on land in advance, and then transported to the sinking site and sunk. At that time, the sealing material of the present invention is fixed to each caisson with bolts in advance. By simply keeping the caissons in place, you can prevent damage caused by collisions between the caissons, making the submersion work easier, and even if the gaps between the caissons become slightly misaligned,
It is absorbed by the follow-up change in the degree of leg opening caused by the bending of the legs, and the higher the water pressure and the greater the compressive force of the caisson, the higher the degree of adhesion to the caisson surface and the greater the sealing effect. In this way, oil leakage can be reliably prevented.

Further, by using chloroprene rubber as the sealing material, it has high oil resistance, flame retardancy, and weather resistance, and can maintain good sealing action for a long period of time.

Furthermore, the sealing material of the present invention has a structure consisting of a mounting pedestal and spread legs, so it is easy to manufacture, and the legs change the degree of spread according to the size of the gap between the caissons. It is characterized by a high sealing effect because it maintains the sealing action.

In particular, when the sealing material of this invention is bolted to one caisson, due to the presence of the ribs, the bolt tightening force acts intensively along the contact line spanning the entire length in the longitudinal direction, resulting in an extremely high contact surface pressure. can be easily obtained, so the sealing effect can be easily increased. In addition, since the ribs protrude over the entire length of the mounting surface of the mounting pedestal in the longitudinal direction of the mounting bolt insertion array positions, both ends of the bolt insertion holes can be completely sealed and sealed. Leakage through the bolt insertion hole can be prevented regardless of the orientation of the bolt. Further, since the leg tips are provided with bent portions bent outward on both sides, the leg opening angle can be made into an acute angle, which has the advantage of being able to sufficiently deal with large variations in the gap between the caissons. Furthermore, the more acute the opening angle of the legs is, the greater the repulsive force due to pressure contact with the other caisson, and the greater the sealing force.
