Conventionally, in waterproofing work on the roofs of buildings, etc., the asphalt waterproofing construction method, in which asphalt roofing is pasted and laminated using heated molten asphalt, has been used in most cases in Japan due to its highly reliable durable waterproofing performance. This is the current situation. This asphalt waterproofing method is also specified in JISA6011. Use type 1 to type 4 of waterproofing asphalt (blown asphalt) with a softening point of 85 to 100°C or higher, and use a small melting pot with a capacity of about 160 kg to 200 kg as shown in Figure 1 a and b at the waterproofing construction site. It is usually heated and melted using a kerosene burner or the like. However, such blown asphalt has a high softening point, and in order to improve its fluidity and make it work well for coating and pasting, it is necessary to at least reach this softening point by 170°C.
℃ plus a temperature of 255℃ to 270℃, but in practice, workers may heat the product to around 300℃ to make the work easier or to cool it down during the painting process. Often. For this reason, the odor emitted by heating and melting this blown asphalt is quite strong, and it has been pointed out that it is unpleasant and harmful, especially in urban areas, and those skilled in the art are currently at a loss as to how to deal with it. Especially the conventional Fig. 1a
In addition to the open pot shown in Figure 1 b,
There was a drawback that odor was emitted during the preparation of solid asphalt or from the gap in the lid. The present invention aims to provide an asphalt melting pot for waterproofing construction with a deodorizing device capable of eliminating the above-mentioned drawbacks.

According to the U.S. Occupational Safety Administration (OSHA), the exhaust stream generated when asphalt is heated to temperatures around 300 degrees Celsius contains carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, carbonyl sulfide, mercabutane, aldehydes, and phenols. , hydrocarbons (C 2 to C 14 components, etc.), and although the amounts of all other than hydrocarbons are extremely small, they are a significant factor in odor. According to the inspection report of the Saitama Prefecture Pollution Center, which is generally consistent with the above OSHA analysis results, ``particularly, the main odor components are medium-to-high boiling point components of hydrocarbons and their contents.'' In addition, it has been reported that odor components such as unsaturated compounds, sulfur compounds, and chlorine compounds are also contained in large amounts in oils with medium and high boiling points.

The present invention uses a deodorizing device to separate low boiling point components in the exhaust gas stream from medium to high boiling point oils that contain a large amount of malodor, and injects the low boiling point components as gas into a combustion chamber for complete combustion. The purpose is to easily prevent the release of bad odors by collecting the ingredients as oil drips at the bottom.

Next, one embodiment of the asphalt melting pot for waterproof construction with a deodorizing device of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. FIG. 2 is a sectional view schematically showing the basic structure of the present invention. The melting pot A is a small one with an asphalt charging capacity of about 160 to 200 kg. It has a combustion chamber 4 with a kerosene burner etc. at the bottom, and allows about 20 kg of solid asphalt to be charged through an opening/closing loading door 1. It is convenient to provide a small window 1 in the door so that crushed pieces of solid asphalt can be replenished as the molten asphalt 15 is used. A thermometer 16 is also installed to ensure strict temperature control. It is preferable to install a stirring device (not shown) in the molten asphalt 15 to prevent overheating of the bottom of the pot. The arrows (...→) indicate the exhaust flow of molten asphalt, which is sucked into the exhaust nozzle 3, and a trapezoidal exhaust hood 2 is configured as a lid for the melting pot so that the exhaust gas can be easily guided upward without leaking. do. The exhaust nozzle 3 is the suction nozzle 7 of the deodorizing device B.

A filter material 8 made of a glass fiber sheet or mat having a diameter of 5 to 20 microns is installed inside the deodorizing device B. A high-pressure suction blower 9 is installed on the outside of the deodorizing device, and the exhaust stream entering from the suction nozzle 7 is passed through a filter material 8 and suctioned at high speed. Medium and high boiling point components in the exhaust stream emitted from the heated molten asphalt and fine particles mixed therein collide with the glass fibers at high speed, are separated from the exhaust stream, are collected by the glass fibers, and move along the filter material 8, reducing the particle size. Causes an increase phenomenon. Then, under the filter material, it becomes large droplets due to a diffusion phenomenon and accumulates at the bottom as oil 10 with a medium to high boiling point.

As mentioned above, the exhaust stream emitted by heating and melting asphalt collides with glass fibers with a diameter of 5 to 20 microns at high speed to separate and remove oil containing a large amount of malodorous components. It is more effective to spray water onto the filter material 8 using the water spray socket 14. In addition, if the diameter of the glass fiber is less than 5 microns, the oil will not drip easily.
At microns or more, separation of oil from the exhaust stream was insufficient.

As described above, the asphalt melting kettle for waterproof construction with a deodorizing device of the present invention has such a structure, so that medium-to-high boiling point oil with a lot of bad odor can be separated and removed by passing through a filter material made of glass fiber sheet or pine at high speed. However, since the low-boiling point exhaust stream with little odor is injected into the combustion chamber, completely combusted, and then discharged into the atmosphere through the chimney 17, the effect of improving the conventional problem of emitting bad odors is significant. be.

In addition, the lid of the melting kettle is made trapezoidal to facilitate the upward flow of exhaust gas, and the first solid asphalt is introduced through the opening/closing charging door and heated and melted, and any amount lost during use can be replenished through the small window 1'. It also has the advantage of preventing odor leakage and dispersion.
