本考案は、遮水形電力ケーブルの改良に関す
る。導体の電流や導体へのサージの侵入によつ
て、金属遮蔽層や遮水用金属層には電圧が誘起さ
れるので、ケーブル端でそれらの金属層を接地す
ることが行われている。しかしながら、一般に遮
水用金属層は薄い金属箔にて構成されたものであ
るので、ケーブル長さ方向での電気抵抗が大き
く、このため接地端から遠く隔たつた箇所では誘
起電圧の除去が不充分となりがちである。特に、
導体にサージが侵入した際には該層に大きな誘起
電圧が発生し、一般に接地効果の充分な金属遮蔽

イルム、天然又は合成繊維の織布、不織布に導電
性のゴムやプラスチツクを含浸したもの、あるい
は織布、不織布に金属線を織り込んだものなどが
用いられる。体積抵抗率が10Ωcm以下の良導電性
