れらに連らなる背面とからなる紙葉類の保持手段
(ガイド板)1は郵便物2を保持しながら振動さ
せられる。第2,3図も従来例を示す図であり、
第2図においてガイド板1の背面と底面に設けら
れた振動板3,3′を振動することで整位動作を
起している。また第3図においてはガイド板1の
背面と底面には回転する楕円ローラ4,4′が各
面に突出するように設けられ、これにより郵便物
に振動を与えて整位作用を行う。しかしながら、
これら従来の整位装置においては、ガイド板に置
かれている郵便物全体に同時に振動を与えるた
め、効果的な整位作用を個々の郵便物に与えるこ
とが困難であつた。更に第1,2図に示すもので
は騒音が大きくなるという欠点があつた。

突起ローラによつて得られる左右方向の力の時間
的平均は、互いに異なる方向にらせんをもつてい
るので零であり、郵便物全体が横方向に移動する
ことはない。
