Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the overheating of a printing head, by providing a control circuit prohibiting the impact of the next dot when the number of impacts of dot data reached the definite number of times. CONSTITUTION:Dot data is stored in buffer 10 through a terminal 1. Said stored data is converted so as to be matched with the arrangement of a printer head pin by the order from a data converting circuit 20 to be outputted to a control circuit 30. The control circuit 30 outputs printing head non-impact indication when the signal, which informs that the definite number of impacts was performed, was continuously inputted from a counter circuit 40 when there is no detection signal from the count circuit 40, the indication of impact or non- impact is outputted to the head pin according to the input signal from the data converting circuit 20. By this method, the overheating of the printing head is prevented without interrupting the processing of a printer and the generation of abnormal operation can be prevented.

According to the present invention, there is a detection circuit that counts the number of consecutive impacts of dot data in the horizontal direction and detects when this count value exceeds a certain number of times, and a detection circuit that detects the next dot according to the output signal of the detection circuit. A dot impact type printer is obtained, which is characterized in that it has a control circuit for controlling to inhibit impact.

Referring to the drawings, one embodiment of the present invention includes a connection terminal 1 between a computer and a printer, a buffer 10 for storing data sent from the computer, and an arrangement of Rad pins for taking out the stored data from this buffer 10 and sending it to the printer. A data conversion circuit 20 that rearranges data, a Radbin control circuit 30 to the printer that generates a printer head pin control signal from the output signal from the data conversion circuit 20 and the pin operation continuous impact detection circuit 40, and a Radbin control circuit to the printer. a pin operation continuous impact count circuit 40 that receives the signal output from the pin operation pin 30, counts the number of consecutive dot impacts, and notifies the printer head pin control circuit when it detects that a certain number of consecutive dots have occurred;
The data is sent to the printer and stored in the buffer 10. Based on instructions from the data conversion circuit 20, the data stored in the buffer 10 is converted to match the arrangement of the printer head pins, and is output to the control circuit 30. The control circuit 30 is the counter circuit 4
If a signal notifying impact is inputted a certain number of times consecutively from 0, an impact instruction is output to the printer.If there is no detection signal from the output circuit 40, the data conversion circuit 20 According to the input signal of
Printer head overheating can be prevented without instructing the printer head pin to be impact or non-impact, and abnormal operation can be prevented.
