In the case of stereo reproduction using a small-volume speaker box, the left and right speakers for reproducing left and right signals are attached to the same baffle plate, so large-diameter speakers cannot be used. For this reason, it is difficult to reproduce the low frequency range, and even if large-diameter speakers are used, sufficient spacing between the speakers cannot be maintained, resulting in a disadvantage that the stereo feeling is significantly impaired when stereo signals are reproduced.

This invention was made in order to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks of the conventional system. The speaker box is divided into a plurality of chambers by a partition plate, and a chamber for installing a speaker and a radiator for bass reproduction is provided. Therefore, it is an object of the present invention to provide a speaker device that can reproduce up to the low frequency range without impairing the stereo sound.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. In Fig. 2, 1 is a speaker, 2 is a speaker box, 3 is a partition plate, 4 is a sound radiator for reproducing low frequency ranges, 5 is a speaker for driving the sound radiator 4, and 6 and 7 are left and right speakers, respectively. Chambers 8 and 9 house the channel signal reproducing speakers, and chambers 8 and 9 house the radiator 4 for bass reproduction and its driving speaker 5.

In other words, one speaker box 2 is separated by a partition plate 3.
The chamber is divided into two in the front and back direction by a, and the chamber on the side of the full plate to which the speakers 1a and 1b and the radiator 4 are attached is further divided into three in the left and right direction by partition plates 3b and 3c to obtain air chambers 6 to 9. Of the chambers obtained in this manner, active speakers 1a and 1b are attached to the left-hand chamber 6 and right-most chamber 7 on their respective butt-full plates to reproduce the left and right channel signals, and the middle part of the chambers 6 and 7 is A radiator 4 adjusted for bass reproduction without a drive circuit is mounted on the full plate of the chamber 8 formed by the partition plates 3b and 3c, and a speaker 5 for driving this radiator.
It has a structure in which it is attached to the partition plate 3a between chambers 8 and 9.

In the speaker device having this structure, the bass range is reproduced by vibrating the radiator in front of the speaker 5 housed in the air chamber 9. Therefore, the air chamber 8 acts as an acoustic transformer, and by appropriately changing the transformation ratio and mass ratio of the speaker 5 and the radiator 4, it is possible to easily reproduce low frequency sounds. Furthermore, the left and right speakers 1a, 1 take charge of the upper frequency band by reproducing the bass range with the radiator 4.
b, as shown in FIG. 3, it is no longer necessary to reproduce low frequencies compared to conventional speakers, and a speaker with a relatively small diameter can be used. In this figure, the solid line is the sound pressure characteristic according to the present invention, and the broken line is the sound pressure characteristic of the conventional device. Moreover, this allows the speakers to be spaced widely apart without significantly impairing the stereo effect. Note that in the low frequency range, a single radiator is used to take advantage of the fact that it is difficult to sense the direction of sound.

In Figure 4, using a speaker box with the same volume,
The sound pressure characteristics (dashed line) when using a speaker with a diameter of 16 cm with the conventional structure shown in Figure 1 and the sound pressure characteristics (dashed line) when using a speaker with a diameter of 10 cm and a speaker with a diameter of 250 x 200 mm (dotted line) as shown in Figure 2. The sound pressure characteristics (solid line) are shown when using the radiator. As is clear from this, it can be seen that the speaker device of the present invention significantly expands the low frequency range. Further, according to the present invention, since a speaker with a small diameter can be used, a flat sound pressure characteristic can be obtained up to the high frequency range.

In the above embodiment, the speaker box 2 is a rectangular box, but the shape may be a triangle as shown in FIG. 5, a semicircle as shown in FIG. 6, or a circular or rectangular shape. Further, the same effect can be obtained even if the baffle plate has an arbitrary angle as shown in FIG. 7, or may have a pentagonal shape as shown in FIG. The structure shown in FIGS. 5 to 8 also has the advantage of being able to efficiently fit into a corner of the room where it is installed.

As described above, according to the present invention, the interior of the speaker box is divided into appropriate sizes by partition plates, and the low frequency reproduction radiator is provided in the center of the left and right speakers. It has a small aperture and is effective in being able to reproduce low frequencies without compromising the stereo sound.
