る場合には発光部前方へ大きくせり出しているア
ダプターに比して発光部前面でのつかみしろが必
ずしも充分でないので密着式の場合とは逆に発光
部の後方寄りに設ける方が好ましい。この為、凹
溝を発光部両側壁の前方寄りと後方寄りとの2個
所に設けたとしても、その形状、寸法が同一であ
れば、フード式アダプターを発光部に取付ける場
合に、本来発光部両側壁の後方寄りの凹溝内に取
付けるべきところを誤つて前方寄りの凹溝内に取
付けてしまうおそれがあり、誤つた取付状態のま
ま使用していると、つかみしろが必ずしも充分で
ないので使用中フード式アダプターが落下するこ
とがある。また、フード式アダプターを使用して
配光を変える場合には発光面を基準にしてアダプ
ターの取付位置を設計するが、上述の如くアダプ
ターの取付位置を誤つた場合には正しい配光が得
られれないという不都合があつた。
